Owner was about to close but thankfully let us in. Most delicious gelato we've had in Venice! Cheaper than Suso's too. Got pistachio but my family got other flavours and said they were great as well. A MUST if you're in Venice!

Little gelateria... no fancy stuff - just delicious ice cream. Located centrally, you can get a tasty gelato. Recommendations: dark chocolate, bacio and fior di latte

Off the main part of the Campo/Piazza Santa Margarita is this small gelateria with locally made gelati and granites. Theere is a wide and interesting choice of flavors. Be patient as there is often a line. The prices are lower than those in the touristy...More

We are regular visitors to this area of Venice and over the years, Il Doge has been our number one place to go, for our ice-cream fix. Trust me – we have tried others. To the south there is an outlet of a well-regarded chain,...More

I have been in Italy for a week and eaten more than my fair share of gelato but this was by far the best! I’ve gone 4 times in two days because it’s that good. It is super creamy, not icy at all, and the...More

We visited here as part of a food tour (see Venice Bites) - and we made a return trip such was the deliciousness of the ice cream!! El Doge (candied orange peel and chocolate) was a winner!! 1.80 EUR for one scoop in a cup...More

Really tasty ice cream with some great flavours! My personal favourite being a sweet milk, pear and cinnamon one. Which is not a flavour combo I’ve ever come across before and is well worth trying. Staff are very friendly and it is located just off...More

Gorgeous ice cream. My kids said it was the best of all the gelato they've had so far in various places in Rome and Venice. Nice guy at the counter, good value 👌

Very tasty and reasonably priced gelato with a range of amazing sounding flavours. The dark chocolate was so deliciously rich. Yum!

We visited twice during our week visit to Venice. More expensive the second visit so not sure if they had just put up the prices or have different prices depending on the day of the week. Either way, the prices are more reasonable than those...More

Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with
street artists, students, painters, sculptors,
restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and

collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for
evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries

I honestly couldn't advise on precise opening hours as I didn't get any further than the ice cream counter at the front! We arrived in the piazza around 11am and it was open then. So I suspect it is open from mid-morning... More

In the eastern corner of the Campo Santa Margherita square, it is run by two cousinswho make their own seasonal gelatos and ices, and it has to be one of the the very best gelaterias in Venice! Read your forum for more on this one.
