Very easy to find, a short walk from the bus station, worthy of all the appraisals. Enjoyed breakfast there, went back in the afternoon but all delicious sandwiches were sold out! Within minutes fresh rolls were available again, though, the turnaround is very quick indeed....More

A marvellous find. Stumbled across it 5 years ago and have been back every year since. Would recommend to anyone visiting Venice who fancies a snack whilst wandering around the Rialto.

This is a wonderful, little stand-up snack place with small, freshly-made sandwiches and wine. A couple of guys prep and serve the customers who stand and dine. Our small glass of red wine was 0.60 euro and the sandwich was 0.90 euro. We got our...More

A small corner shop, filled with locals where you can fill up on a few panini and a glass or two of prosecco and continue on your way in Venice. My first visit, I had an incredibly delicious panini with artichoke and another with sopressatta,...More

Frankly, I am irritated that this is still in the 'restaurant' section, let alone #1! The sandwiches are good, but not amazing, and the wine is cheap, but so what?! This is not the only place which sells cheap wine! This is a take away...More

We passed by at the end of the day (04 p.m), so it didn't have much to eat, so we decided to have a drink... Forget it... the wine is completely awful... yes, it is 0,60 Eur a glass..., but it taste like fuel... Maybe...More

Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district)
when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring
cars and buses close to the center of Venice.
Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking
Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes
with energy from travelers and students. Historic
palaces and former industrial buildings house some
departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture

I don't recall any fish. As far as vegetarian, you could get cheese and tomato on your sandwich. The counter guys were very nice and helpful.
