that is a great place to taste venetian food with a modern touch. I had a plate of italian ham to share with my kids, the quality was great and the plate was nicely presented. We then had pasta ( with sea food for me and bolognese and carbonara for my kids) , they were all very tasty, generous and... More

On a cold December evening we visited Impronta because it was close to the hotel. What a great find! We did book in advance, and on arriving we found the restaurant was pretty full. The staff seemed friendly and knowledgeable and the overall ambiance was very nice. the food was great and the wine selection very extensive. The Tuna Tartare... More

My and my friends came here to say goodbye to each other since we were leaving home for Christmas. When we entered the waiter rudely said that "this restaurant is for food, not drinks". Some of us wanted to eat, some have coffee, some a spritz. We were standing by the door while the waiter was consulting with another one... More

We have eaten here a few times. The food is very good - we both had the ravioli with pesto and it was quite delicious. I had crepes with fruit and ice cream and my wife had the cheese board and these were excellent. We will certainly return.

Food here was the best we had in Venice. Very fresh, and every dish was delicious. Staff was very nice, spoke English, and helped recommend a great bottle of wine (which they have a nice selection of). We stopped in without a reservation and didn't have to wait long, but it was a Sunday night.

My boyfriend and I had lunch there today. We ordered the duck leg with potatoes, gnocchi and a few other dishes. Food is really nice, cappuccino and tea were really nice too. Very happy with the food and service!

We made a reservation several days in advance, but were made to wait 50 minutes for a table, despite being told when we arrived that it would only be a 5 minute wait. There was no table reserved for us and the restaurant was clearly overbooked. During our wait, regulars who arrived well after us were being shown to tables... More

Restaurant was full, we didn't make a reservations but they were kind enough to find us a table a little later on, so we went for a drink somewhere else in the meantime. The wait was well worth it as this restaurant was one of the best we tried during our euro trip. Excellent service, great wine list, superb dish... More

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
