We live around the corner and can honestly say that this is one of the best local places you will find in Venice. The owners are warm and friendly. They are wonderful with children and will accomodate anyone. The food is outstanding. If I had...More

Pane Vino e San Daniele was recommended by a chap who could be considered a competitor. He owns a restaurant a mere five minute slow stroll away - and that should tell you all you need to know. OK, Pane Vino e San Daniele and...More

This is a first class family restaurant in the far south of the City, only about a dozen tables; simple menu, lots of various meats and other mostly meat based dishes from the Veneto. Simple decor but attractive, excellent service and never been rushed. Outside...More

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here. The restaurant was busy but was not loud. The food was excellent and relatively fair value (the wine was rather expensive). One thing to note, it is not even close to vegetarian friendly despite the tag. If you're...More

Visiting this restaurant for diner with my wife. Friendly hostess, romantic atmosphere. Food was great. Prices are above average. Ideal place for a culinair evening.

The menu was both traditional and innovative. We went twice. Staff was friendly and very willing to translate all items. About half the clientele were tourists, there was also a neighborhood vibe that we appreciated. Highly recommended.

Dear Mr. Jon, I am sorry you had the impression we did not accept you because you had a child. We have always accepted children in our restaurant (we also have a high chair). If you read some of the previous reviews you can see...More

We ate here twice and very much enjoyed both meals. The beef tagliata was outstanding, and the guinea fowl was excellent. Wonderful puddings too. The couple who run the place were very friendly and helpful, and if you struggle with the Italian menu they will...More

Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with
street artists, students, painters, sculptors,
restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and
heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's
collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for
evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries
cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica
buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob
