Al Vecio Canton was a few steps from our B&B and recommended by our innkeeper. We had just arrived in Venice after an overnight flight from the States. We wanted something simple and didn't want to address the cultural change until later. We ended up...More

I ate in this restaurant in January. As this was my first time in venice; I ordered the obligatory, cuttlefish pasta, followed by Venitian liver and polenta. This was very tasty and, especially given the location, reasonably priced. The pizzas served here looked good too.

Despite being carnival time the restaurant was not busy when we arrived at 8pm. We were shown to a table and given menus. After 10 minutes we had still not been offered a drink. The staff were not busy but just ignored us. I made...More

I can remember about you, because I was taking an order at the next table when you walked out. I'm sorry you couldn’t enjoy this experience and I apologize for your wait, but maybe you didn’t realized that in our restaurant there is an upper...More

On our last day in Venice, me and my partner decided to give this place a try, and did it pay off. As the place opened at 6, we were the first to arrive. I ordered the carbonara, my partner got the pasta with clams...More

This is our favorite pizza place in all of Europe. Well, the ones we've eaten at anyway. The staff is awesome and so much fun to watch, working the dining rooms with an efficiancy not seen in the states. The food is the star, however,...More

Went to this place following the reviews on here. We weren't disappointed. Great value. Not expensive so works well on a budget. We shared a Quatro Stagioni pizza and pasta Carbonara. Both were freshly made and what a taste and a litre of house sparkling...More

A bit difficult to find, but well worth the effort. Didn't order what we had planned but listened to the advice of the waiter and it was marvellous. Very cosy, very friendly and wonderful service. One tip , if you order a side of salad...More

We had an excellent pizza-and-salad lunch here. The pizza was the best we'd had during our Northern Italy trip this year. The doe had a beautiful texture, and among the toppings, spicy salami really stood out. Salad was very fresh as well.

We ate here as it was near to our hotel in Campo Santa Maria Formosa. Me and my 3 daughters all really enjoyed our meals, 3 pizzas and a pasta carbonara. We saw the pizzas being made as we were sitting downstairs. Quick and attentive...More

Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri

one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime
neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side
