We wandered around trying to find an off the beaten path spot for lunch. Stumbled across this place and wow...what a great meal! First of all, you know you hit the jackpot when the tables were all local gondoliers and water taxi drivers. We shared...More

Stumbled across this great little restaurant on the way to meet the ferry to⛴ Murano. Staff was super friendly and gave good menu and cocktail suggestions. Had the beef ravioli- chef even came out to see how it was. In short- great food, great atmosphere!

Wondering the back streets, away from the tourist eateries, found this Gem. The food was excellent, inked cuttlefish is a local specialty. Fantastic service with little extras; Prosecco to start, Lemoncello to finish. We sat outside but should have gone inside for A/C and piano...More

Upper scale restaurant in Venice and serving typical Venetian dishes. Old school style and very attentive staff. Not a typical tourist trap place and a little off the beaten path, so it’s actually more authentic than most! Excellent service and good presentation of each course....More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
