Atmosphere: A wonderful "italian" atmosphere. Indoor seating right next to large open windows facing the street. You could follow the nightlife around the restaurant such as sports cars driving by, people taking their dogs out, chatting and laughing and of course illegal parking with emergency...lights on. Food and service: Great menu with classic italian dishes executed beatifully. Friedly service and waiters that could speak English also. Large selection of quality wines.More

The menu offers various offer but quite limited for a vegetarian persons. Said that, clorofilla risotto was delicious and the dessert was a great surprise. Cheek was good but a bit salty. Prices are average high but ok… what I would improve for getting 5...star is the organisation of the staff: we had 5 different waiters with no continuity of service. Some of them were really kind, some rude and without attention. Going out for dinner is an experience and much more we feel comfortable, much more we would value this experience as client.More

We ate at Scannabue twice in 5 days, in between we did half-board in a mountain hotel known for the quality of its cuisine. After such a culinary experience, we came back to Scannabue and were again impressed by the quality of its dishes and...service. We particularly enjoyed its traditional Piemonte dishes, Vitello Tonnato, Tajarin, Chitara with calamari, Agnolotti and gnocchi, as well as the veal cheek in wine sauce. The pigeon dish was so amazing that we wanted to go back to eat it again! If I ever came back to visit Torino, I will have all my dinners at Scannabue!More

Entered the place for lunch at around 1.30pm. All seats in the outdoor area were completely occupied. Nevertheless, owed to our persistence an extra table was set up for us after 10 minutes. What a luck! The friendly and very sympathetic owner personally came. Since...it was the first visit we asked for his recommendations regarding food and wine and ordered accordingly. At the beginning we were given a fresh, crispy and tasteful bread together with the best Crossini we ever had as a couvert. The wine was a very good and at 30 Euro fairly priced Barbera d'Alba from 2017, Figli Luigi Oddero, quite powerful, good harmony and balance, flavors of tart black cherries and an animating drinking flow. On my scale about 90 Pts. Then we started with a superb Vitello Tonnato, with high quality meat and the tuna sauce very harmonious and perfect balanced. Next course was pasta. The black spaghettini with sepia delicious, the superb tortellini ragout with a very fine meat even better. As main course we were served ultra tender beef cheeks in a perfectly reduced Barolo sauce with smashed tomatoes, loved it. And then, unbelievable, everything was topped by the dessert! - Oh wait, even the Espresso Macchiato at the finish was of very high quality and tasted simply wonderful. The Restaurant Scannabue is an outstanding and exceptional culinary address with a fast and very friendly staff and fairly priced too. Have to come back, then will try another bottle from the selected extensive wine list. Highly recommended, reservation required.More

Restaurant with a rude and unprofessional service. The hostess, when questioned if there was an inside table available, said that I could go check if an emptier restaurant next door had one... The waitress was pushing to sell more appetizers and/or plates. The food is...as pretentious as the service and is miles behind of the one you can have for an equivalent or lesser price in Torino with a way more courteous and polite service. The pasta is heavy in comparison to the ones you can find at other reputable venues in the city and the cheese sauce had an unbalanced flavor. Definitely an overrated restaurant that serves an subprime food and with a hostess who has an unacceptable rudeness and attitude. Look elsewhere and you will have a more pleasant and less snob experience in Torino...More

The Scannabue was the best restaurant for us this time in Torino. The dishes were all lovingly prepared and delicious. Especially the veal filet "Rossini" was a blast, which we accompanied with an excellent Barbera d'Alba (Cavallotto). The dessert was a perfect finish. We will...definitely come back.More

Busy place which doesn't look directly attractive from outside. Food is very nice but not exceptional. Staff was friendly and professional.

We stumbled across this place and was not disappointed. They provide a great combination of warm, friendly service with stunning food and a really fantastic wine list that provides some great choices at a range of prices. We had a Barbera recommended and was only...€21 euro, but it was superb. Thoroughly recommend this place.More
