This friendly place just at the edge of the old town (the centre of Aquileia is pretty) serves sizeable portions of well prepared local dishes (frico, stewed duck and goose, delicious semifreddo and panna cotta) at very low prices. The inexpensive Malvasia is also very good. It’s pleasantly rustic with locals dropping in and out to chat with the family. A very enjoyable evening.

The ladies of the Al Rosari farmhouse saved Easter for us! We arrived at the last moment due to bad weather and, although the restaurant was full, they found a way to add a table just for us! Both the trio of first courses (gnocchi with angus ragù, ravioli with guinea fowl sauce and asparagus and brie pie) and the second course (guinea fowl and angus stew) were very good. Furthermore, even though there was a fixed menu for Easter, they made us pay less since we didn't have a starter or dessert. A highly recommended place where I would go again if I returned to Aquileia!

Good for Ghocchi with Oca or Anitra, in case you wonder that's Duck. Sliced ham and salami are very good, also cheese and home made wine is worth trying. Decent prices, lovely spot and an experience in itself.
