With over 150 flavours to choose from this was the best gelato I’ve ever tasted. Would definitely recommend for those travelling to Rome it’s so worth it and close to the pantheon. Whatever you could possibly think of they have. Beware seating is quite limited and you may be asked to pay table service for some of the tables

They have as weird ice cream as avocado or basilico, but in the end, most people will likely end up with some less adventurous varieties, as one usually doesn't want to spoil the whole ice cream with one scoop of potentially terrible taste. Taste is pretty okay, but I'd recommend to go with fewer scoops, as the more scoops you order, the smaller they make each scoop which is kind of a rip-off. Too crowded with tourists.

Very close to Pantheon you can find Gelateria Della Palma, which offers to indulge in a variety of 150 different ice cream tastes. Always believe the ice cream shop is full and very well stocked. The staff is very friendly and moves at a very high speed so you don't have to wait long in line. Personally, I was very surprised by the very good taste of lavender ice cream. In fact, the ice cream is very good, the assortments are many and it is worth going to visit them to try an ice cream.

A very good gelato location with more flavors than you can think of (150 to be exact). I had the Dulce De Leche and Brownie. They were delicious! I highly recommend this location dubbed “the temple of gelato” by our tour guide. The gelato is made fresh every day and they are ready for your happy consumption after 12:30pm. Enjoy!

The store has a HUGE selection of gelato, but you pay for the size you want before you go to the counter to order. They also have cakes, coffee, soda and candy. It is possible to sit inside for table service, but the staff don't appear to take that seriously. My 10yo son and I sat at a table to order coffee, cake and a soda, but the waiter never stopped to talk to us. The man behind the counter directed me to the cashier to place my order for coffee and cake and to take the soda we wanted with us to pay. My son loved the store and deemed it the 'Sugar Sanctuary of Rome'!

100 different flavours of gelato in a very large and grand shop. Makes it difficult to choose, which means you have to keep coming back to sample the full selection. Perhaps a little more expensive than other gelaterias and cumbersome to pay/get your ice cream, but the variety makes it worth it. They also do pick'n'mix sweets along with other sweet treats.

Ice cream was average. Not overly exciting. Had better in the ice cream parlour near the Trevor fountain, so recommend walking over there (it’s cheaper and nicer over there anyway). Della Palma was unclean, tables looked like they hadn’t been wiped in a while. As a paying customer I assumed my right to use the toilet, which was closed for “cleaning” - the toilet assistant was just standing there ripping tissue up? Any way once reopen, they were the most disgusting toilet I have ever been into! Then the toilet assistance asked me to use his “cleaning service” (he had detol and kitchen roll next to him). I had no idea what he wanted as this was the first time this had been asked of me. He couldn’t explain himself due to language barrier, so proceeded to call me disgusting! After further look at the reviews it appears he charges for tissue to dry your hands, and was requesting money. What a strange thing to do and after 4 days in Rome I think this is the only place that does this?!? Honestly avoid, avoid, avoid!!!! The ice cream is not worth it, it’s unclean and you’ll get treated appallingly.

Very unfriendly staff! The ice cream is nothing special and contained ice crystals depending on the type. Unfortunately no discount with the Rom Turbopass. Our inquiries were simply turned away. Not worth a visit!

The best gelato we ate in Italy during a 10-day trip to Florence, Lake Como and Rome! Sadly, we only discovered Della Palma the night before we flew back to NJ, so we only ate a few scoops of their gelato. We tried Giolitti’s gelato as we saw some reviews for it and it was right around the corner from our Airbnb. Giolitti’s gelato was the WORST we have ever eaten. At Della Palma, we had crocella pistachio, dulce de leche, salted caramel and Nutella. All top class, creamy, bursting with flavor. And the folks at Della Palma are polite and friendly to boot (unlike at Giolitti, which are more like the infamous “no soup for you” place in New York immortalized in Seinfeld)!

We loved this gelateria, we were passing by and decided to enter just to take a look and it was amazing, 150 different ice cream flavors! The ones that we tried were absolutely delicious. Next time I’ll go to Rome definitely will go only to this gelateria. I absolutely recommend it!

Didn't look this up, just wandered in on the way back from eating at Piazza Navona. I've had gelato this good twice in my life, the other was at a stand in Venice. They've got about 150 kinds, I had chocolate/strawberry, but they've got exotic flavors like champagne, chocolate/pepper and basil.

We made a point to visit this gelateria on a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed. The website and signs say there are 150 flavors. I did not count them, but I believe it. Everything from chocolate to basil is represented in gelato! Between the 3 of us I think we tried 6 different flavors and they were all delicious. There is a lot of great gelato to be found in Rome, but this spot was a lot of fun for trying some really interesting and unique flavors.

With 150 flavours on offer, it's easy to get overwhelmed with choice here but there's such a good variety. When you enter, you go to pay first and receive a ticket from the cashier. You then go to the gelato section and hand your ticket to the teller and they will serve you what you paid for. I was impressed as it was open til quite late at night and the gelato was beautiful.

During my recent visit to Gelateria Della Palma in Rome, I had a somewhat average experience that left me with mixed feelings. While the gelatos themselves were nothing exceptional, the standout factor was the contrasting service received from the staff members at the gelato and coffee areas. Let's start with the gelatos. Unfortunately, I found them to be rather ordinary and lacking the wow factor that I had anticipated. The flavors were standard, and nothing stood out as particularly memorable or unique. It was disappointing not to encounter the burst of flavors and creativity that one often expects from an acclaimed gelateria in Rome. However, the most notable aspect of my visit was the behavior of the staff member attending the gelato area. He displayed a severe lack of patience and rudeness towards customers. Whenever someone requested samples or had questions, he would respond with unnecessary hostility, yelling at them instead of providing assistance. This type of behavior creates an unwelcoming atmosphere and leaves a negative impression on customers. On a positive note, the gentleman working at the coffee area was friendly and provided excellent service. The coffee and pastries offered were satisfying, and it was refreshing to encounter such warm and welcoming service in contrast to the gelato area. The quality of the coffee and the enjoyable pastry selection added a redeeming factor to my overall experience at Gelateria Della Palma. In conclusion, Gelateria Della Palma left me with mixed feelings. While the gelatos were average and failed to impress, the exceptional rudeness displayed by the staff member attending the gelato area was a significant disappointment. On the other hand, the coffee area boasted a friendly staff and served good coffee and pastries. If you decide to visit Gelateria Della Palma, I recommend managing your expectations regarding the gelatos and being prepared for the possibility of encountering a less than pleasant experience with the gelato staff.
