yesterday I had dinner at this cozy Mediterranean Restaurant, it offers very delicious food, hard to tell which dish was the tastiest since the whole dishes were delicious. the service was tremendous and on top f that, the owner greeted us and he personally supervised...the service. I strongly recommended it for anyone visiting Madrid, looking for quality and taste. just give it a try and will not regret it.More
Muchas Gracias por su amable opinión sobre nuestro restaurante le esperamos de nuevo cuando visita Madrid un saludo
Alfanus restaurant offers the original Arabic dishes with a really high quality ingredients. Moreover the food tasty and it worth a visit. We ordered for take away and the food was excellent.

The ambient of the restaurant is a little bit sinister. The waiters are careless and they serve the food and the wine badly. The worst is the food. Couscous is overcooked with low quality ingredients (we ordered chicken couscous, the chicken had a miserable quality)....The entries are clearly stored in the freeze and microwaved before serving and so on. Finally the quality/price relation was also bad. Overall an experience to forget.More

After my trip to the Middle East, I have been craving this food! It did not disappoint! I hear they have belly dancers on Saturdays!

When you arrive at a restaurant at 9:30 pm and it is completely empty it makes you wonder. There were great reviews so we decided to stay and give it a chance. The meze we ordered was good although we thought the humus plate was...small and we had to order a second one. The main dishes we felt were expensive, 20 EUR + Overall good food. We had a lamb couscous and a tajine. The lamb didn't taste much like lamb and the couscous was not memorable. Ok. Tajine ok. My conclusion is that is not a place I would like to return.More
We have lived and travelled through the Middle East and enjoy Lebanese food. The quality of this food was high: wonderful smokey muttabal, excellent kibbe, and the kebabs were moist and tasty with a well balanced garlic mayo. The other dishes were all good, although...the vine leaves served too cold. Service was first class. We booked through The Fork and had a very worthwhile deduction. Without it I think that the price would be a little high, but with the offer the food was good value. In summary, high quality Lebanese food and service. We will definitely return.More
Having been to Syria and Lebanon several times, I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is authentic. The device is attentive. It's child friendly. Loved it and we will return!
I have had Syrian/Lebanese meals in Mayfair, London and they were not as expensive as this! If the location was in Barrio Salamanca they might get away with it it but the location, off Principe de Vergara is quite rough. The food is very good...but over priced. How can they charge €16 for a plate of couscous (costs 2c?) with 8 pieces of vegetable (costs 5c?) dotted around it? Or Lamb for 2 euros more with 50 grams of lamb on top? The restaurant also needs modernising. It is like going back to the 80's.More
The stuff is so friendly and the food is so delicious especially the salad tabolh And hummus also don't forget take mix barbecue and Tagine
The food is delicious and fresh, quite and relaxing place, great experience and one of kind food, it deserves visiting.
Al-Fanus was a pleasant surprise. We used to live in Damascus years ago and have been looking for good Syrian/Lebanese food since we came to Madrid. This was the first restaurant we have found with authentic and good quality Syrian food. We started with an...assortment of entradas (called a mezze in Syria) that included several traditional dishes including homos, baba ganoush, kebbe, falafel, tabouleh, etc. All were very good, but the really surprising one was the falafel, which is often dry and mealy inside and/or overly crusty outside, but this one was lightly crispy on the outside and still a little moist on the inside. The house Rioja was perfectly fine for us and reasonably priced. The main courses we had were good although not outstanding, and we couldn't eat much of them because we were pretty full from the entradas. We decided that next time we'll just have the entradas (mezze) and walk away well satisfied. Overall, highly recommended for those searching for good Syrian/Lebanese food in Madrid.More
Probably one of the best middle eastern Meals I have ever had. Very friendly staff, try the yogurt drink, great Meza, wonderful meat dishes, Completed with dessert assortment to die for!! Although pricey , however with all the food you get, it is worth it!
It is a good option for an Arabic cuisine. Food is good, price is a bit high but its alot of food (kinda) if you order the iftar option
I just finished my meal there, it was really true Shamy food. Humos, Fatoush, Falafel, Tabula, and many things more they are all exist in Spain in Al Fanus. The service was very excellent and I liked the restaurant environment. The guys there are so...friendly, smily, and helpful. I asked about the meat and chicken sources and they ensured to me they are "Halal", but my plan was to eat Humos and Falafel only. If you are in Madrid and miss the Shamy food, just visit Al Fanus.
