This place is awesome! Definitely a place you have to go to when visiting Madrid. It really feels like being at the beach. The food isn’t expensive but is however delicious and generous in terms of quantity. White sangria is also great. You have to...go there.More

I love it there. The design inside is so creative and nice! The service is great! They are always super nice there and the drinks and the food is very nice. It’s not outstanding but it’s good enough considering the price ....

Bringing the beach to Madrid. Nice atmosphere and great food in the lovely neighbourhood of Malasaña. Good for a break from traditional Spanish food.

Very pleasant café on a tiny pretty square next to plaza 2 de Mayo. Good to have a few drinks and nibbles while enjoying the sun and the view.

My daughter had heard about this place through her study abroad friends but hadn’t been. At 3 PM, we were quickly seated in this quirky, casual place. The Dr. Pepper sandwich looked interesting to me, especially since that beverage was not available in Madrid. It...was described as pulled pork, salad, cheddar cheese, bbq and chipotle sauce on a brioche bun for €7. While it didn’t taste anything like the drink it was tasty. It was also messy in the best way! My daughter got the Cemita Poblana for €7.50 which the menu stated had chicken, black beans, guacamole, mayonnaise chipotle and a cilantro picante on a bun. Her sandwich was also very flavorful in a different way. We decided to split our sandwiches in half to share. There was a fun bar area downstairs where the floor had beach sand covering it. How fun! The toilet area had it’s own creative expression as well. I'm sure this place has a ton of Instagram posts; it was designed for it!More

Ojala has become like my go-to place! I first went there for Brunch, which was delicious and reasonably priced! I wish the portions were a little bigger, but for the price, it's not bad at all. I went again for drinks and tapas, good patatas...braves and excellent cocktails (the sangria is the best I've ever had!) I've been back with friends for drinks and food multiple times, and it never fails to impress. There is seating outside in a little plaza, which is nice when the weather is good. Inside it just as cool though, with a tropical vibe and nice decor. If you are really interested, in the basement there is a beach with sand and short chairs! It can get a little crowded at night, so be sure to go early if you want to sit somewhere specific. But definitely recommend!More

Lovely brunch spot that had the coolest vibe with all the hanging plants and beautiful meal sets. We got the Just-4-U and the Granjara and it's so neat that sets come with both a coffee and a juice. We paid a little more to upgrade...our coffee and it was worth it. Note that the Bombon tastes like it's spiked! It was really nice to take a break from tapas and there was just enough food and variety in each set to not be boring. The banana bread with the Granjara was delicious too. Downstairs is their "beach" so it was cool to walk through it to get to the restrooms (which were really trippy with all the mirrors and neon). Would love to come back someday and experience happy hour at the fake beach!More

Ojala is a really good place in Malasaña, especially for brunch and cocktails. It is very popular (also for the instagrammers) so you can rarely just 'drop by', but if you arrive pretty early in the weekend, or don't mind waiting, you can get a...table. They also have an outdoor area which is very nice on sunny days.More
