Can Ramonet is based inside a 250 year old building, which is very special. I was told that it has some of the best paella in Barcelona, so had high hopes, however, our meal was nothing more than average. But the wine list is very...More

I went last night with a colleague and we had a nice tuna tapas for starter that was tasteful. The a paella to share that was almost perfect. Maybe a little bit more salty than I prefer but we enjoy it very much. We paid...More

Restaurant was lovely, vegetable paella was incredible. We booked for 23.30 on the website but the kitchen was due to close very soon after that so I would suggest booking/arriving earlier. Overall, a lovely experience with friendly staff.

Horrible! Worst meal in Barcelona by far! The seafood in the paella was old, and way over salted! I should have known that was not good.... the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night!

Good place for traditional catalan cuisine in the center of the Barceloneta. It's renewed and I guess it has lot part of its DNA but it has been nicely decorated. It's big and with a noce terrace in front of the market of la Barceloneta....More

Thank you very much for your review and visit. For your peace of mind, the meals are not excessive in salt, rather the opposite, although they are potent in flavor. We hope this reassures you in some way !!. Thanks again

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in

One says that it is the first house that was constructed in the district of the Barceloneta; their walls later gave shelter to a bar of wines and to a tavern of fishermen. Until in 1956 Ramona and Ramonet they initiate a project that, without them to intuit it, would register the gastronomy of the marine district.
Can Ramonet is a restaurant that watches the past but the present lives, and is that tradition and modernity are not fought. It offers an amiable space devised by the interiorista Lazaro Rosa Violan to facilitate a gastronomical experience reviewed by chef Jordi Herrera, of the Manairo restaurant.
Faithful to the line of Catalan traditional kitchen emphasizing rice and fish, Can Ramonet serves so much in his interior as in his terrace black, caldosos rice and paellas of the house, vermicelli, zarzuelas of seafood or sea breams, meats selections or a well-taken care of selection of covers and classic subjects of gossip and author.
“… and thus it will follow because a place that lasts three centuries has eagerness of being eternal.”
