Having been to Barcelona a few times, we tend to frequent the same restaurants that have been time-proven, so it was fantastic to discover this restaurant. Booking via the web link was easy, with an almost immediate confirmation by email from the restaurant. They also...had the courtesy to call a few hours beforehand to remind us of our reservation and ask about any dietary requirements. On arrival we were offered a warm welcome and shown through the restaurant to our table upstairs. Beautifully decorated it sets the tone for an exquisite meal in a very classy environment. The 7 course menu with wine pairing was delightful and despite my initial concerns about the portion sizes, we left the restaurant full to the brim. The staff were extremely knowledgeable about all dishes served and explained with great charisma why each wine had been chosen, and a little history of the grape/area of each wine. Each course was a taste sensation that left you yearning for the next course. We were so impressed that we eagerly re-booked for a later night. The second time we attended Osmosis, we were half way through our beautiful meal when the realisation hit us that we were the only couple in the restaurant that night. The service never faulted and, again, the cuisine was delectable. Also impressive, was the fact that they were aware we were the only booking that night and rather than cancel us (as many others would've done) they made the decision to honour our booking and still uphold their passion at every step. Amazing! The staff, service, food and wine at Osmosis will leave you with a full stomach, an un-emptied wallet, and eager to return. Absolutely exceptional cuisine for very reasonable prices. Fantastic.More

Maybe it’s Barcelona and maybe it’s because it’s August but this restaurant really need to address consistency. We have been here 4 times - two times were fantastic and two times were dire. Tonight was dreadful. We were placed in a cube surrounded by empty...wine bottles and a cupboard of electrical boxes, had our order misinterpreted, were served stale bread, wines from the list were not available, and only 3 of the 5 courses were palatable. The sad thing is that that this restaurant can really do it. The tragic lack of consistency means that we will never return.More

One of the best meals we have had whilst in Barcelona, every course was outstanding. We did the 7 course tasting menu with the wine pairing, each course was explained as well as the wine. Service was excellent.

Very nice food but the paired wine experience was even better. Tasted great regional wine brought to the table with all details explained by the owner.

Excellent food, flavours matched perfectly and presented beautifully by a chef who clearly knows what he’s doing. Very reasonably priced wine. Great service and nice intimate atmosphere. I’d have liked matched wines to go with the tasting menu, but it didn’t put me off at...all and it’s certainly not a complaint. Definitely 5 stars from me :-) would recommend and happily return.More

The restaurant is very nice, good environment and high food quality food as you would expect . The only thing I was a bit disappointed is the fact that the plates, when served, were not followed by a proper explanation of how they were made...of or the way to taste them and I believe it is important to have this kind of service to feel that you are living a full experience of the food.More

Great food, imaginative, well prepared, well presented, really top notch. It is obvious the chef not only knows what they are doing but takes extra care and pride in their kitchen. They do not serve a la carte, just have a set menu for dinner...and one can select either 5, 7 or 9 small dishes which will be priced accordingly. We selected the 7 course dinner with wine pairing and were very pleased. They brought us olives, bread, olive oil and various salts, as well as a couple of delicious amusee before starting with the courses. Everything we had was excellent and creative, ike cherry soup with mackerel, but the menu changes every two weeks so don't expect to find the same thing every time. The wines were very special and interesting, small crops from small wineries and the head waiter/sommelier/manager took a lot of pride also in explaining the origin and characteristics of each wine. However, I personally found some of the selections on the sweet side. The only negative, the head waiter at times forgot to pull up his face mask, or had it only half way, other times he wore it correctly. Otherwise service was very good. There are only four tables and they are well distanced and the space is subdued and pleasant. They also have another dining space upstairs with a different concept.More

I tried the 7 course menu which is everything from the menu already. However I think 5 courses would be actually enough for a causal lunch. The reason for that is the 7 dishes in fact include 2 desserts and 2 foie gras platós. The...foie micuit with apple and vanilla was just amazing. This bite size caramelised semi-frozen block has a perfect balance of the texture and sweetness. The seasonal dish includes the fresh white asparagus topped with a warm, thin and transparent ibérico fat. That absolutely brings the flavour onto a next level. The monk fish with the touch of an orange source creates a perfect match in your mouth. The disappointing experience was we were arranged to a table next to the staircase and right in the corridor. The walking by from the waiters and the other customers is kinda annoying. PS. Sorry didn't order wines because my friend doesn't drink. So no comments on that.More

It's amazing to see how wonderful is to enjoy a different menu every time you visit that restaurant, kitchen knows how to take the best of all the options available in the market to made you experience a kind of zen journey. If you pair...the food with wine selection from Nacho & Frederic you can be sure you will return again.More

We reserved a table for 22:30 on 14th of February, we arrived a little early 15 min and after a few minutes was told that we needed to come back at our scheduled time. We did and were promptly seated. There was only 1 menu...and you could choose 5 or 7 courses, we chose 5 as we had been eating all day, we understood there were also wine pairings available although these were not explained by the tall man with very short almost shaved head who was our waiter. Out came the amuse-bouche that was dropped on the table by this guy who then turned and left without even the hint of what was in front of us, we waited almost 5 min for him to return and had to ask what was there. Since the wine pairings were not explained to us, we ordered a 40 euro bottle of Albarino that would pair well with most everything we were about to eat. The waiter poured the glass then set the bottle on a table that was not within our reach. He never once came back to refill our glass until I asked that the bottle be left on the table so we could serve ourselves. This was Valentine's Day and we were one of the last tables seated so it was NOT busy. The courses came out and were super delicious and worthy of a 5 star review, each and every one was super creative and delicious, which was what we were expecting. There was a Michelin star on the front door so one would expect at least decent service, this was ridiculous. I very rarely write reviews as they are so subjective, but I know terrible stand off service when i get it and this was inexcusable at any level. The waiter did bring out a sweet wine to pair with my Foi gras course which was a nice gesture. but even getting the check when the place was empty took a good 10 -15 minutes and he could be seen through a window directly behind our table so it was not like it was hard to see what was going on. HE IGNORED US THE ENTIRE MEAL WITHOUT MAKING ANY EYE CONTACT EACH TIME HE WALKED BT THE TABLE. When the course were served and the wine was poured (once) he served me first and not my wife which was rude and seemed weird. The food as stated was excellent yet the bad taste in our mouths from the complete lack of service will make a return visit to Osmosis something that will not occur! There are plenty of great restaurants that have friendly service in Barcelona to choose from, maybe if you choose Osmosis you can stay clear of this guy!More

This restaurant continues to impress with a creative tasting menu and great personal service. The amuse gueule were art forms in your mouth, the appetizers and mains were masterfully prepared, and the deserts were delightful. All of this delivered by a true professional waiter who...has excellent interpersonal skills. And the lunch menu is an absolute bargain!More
