Brilliant, lively atmosphere and very welcoming and accommodating staff. The Grilled Octopus and Baked Potatoes were expertly cooked and presented, and the Cod Fillet was the thickest we’ve ever been served, all for reasonable prices. Guitarist on the terrace and good air conditioning!

Very good bar restaurant offering a wide selection of food and open all day. We ate breakfast here on a number of occasions.
The restaurant also offers tapas and fuller meals.
The menus have English versions and offer a wide selection of foods, which is of good quality and excellent value- for breakfast we spent around €10 per person for juice a coffee and then bagel with bacon and egg, Spanish toast with ham, or Spanish toast with avocado. The service is very good and the staff very pleasant. The bar has a vibrant ambience, is in a pleasant busy square and seems to be used by locals as well as tourists. Would definitely recommend

After watching sunset from Las Setas, we had tapas at Doña
Encarna located on the Plaza across the street. We ordered a selection of Croquetas, Iberico cold cuts, Queso oveja and Patatas bravas with a couple of glasses of local wines. Overall very pleasant venue.

Came here for breakfast because it was next time our hotel, looked busy and good reviews on trip advisor. The breakfast was average - waffle straight out of the packet with Nutella on top, nice enough yoghurt and fruit. However, I have deducted a star for being ripped off. There is a ‘deal’ for coffee and orange juice for 3 euro 50, which I ordered, pointing to it on the menu as my Spanish is not good. I was asked what kind of coffee I wanted and said ‘Cappucino’. When I came to pay the coffee and (small) orange juice had been charged separately at 5 euro as the Cappucino was not included in the deal. Small point but leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Prices high for the cheap city of Seville too. Would not recommend.

Confusing service, despite being in a tourist location, they don't know how to serve people who aren't Spanish. Dishes arrive randomly. It seems normal for one dish to arrive 30, 40, 60 minutes after the other, so that people at the table eat separately. Some eat others go hungry. If you're hungry and want real food, look for another option.

Our dinner on the terrace at Doña Encarna in Sevilla was truly special. The charming ambiance and the mild Andalusian breeze made for a perfect setting. The terrace provided a scenic view, enhancing our dining experience.
The carefully curated menu, featuring a mix of traditional and modern dishes, was a culinary delight. Enjoying these exquisite flavors in the open-air setting added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening.
The service was attentive, and the staff's knowledge of the menu enhanced our dining experience. Whether it was the sunset or the evening lights, the terrace created a magical atmosphere.

Whenever I visit Seville, I make a point of having breakfast at Dona Encarna (previously Spala). This time, I tried their lunch and dinner and was happily surprised with the quality, the presentation, the service and cost. Curros with chocolate, chicken thighs Morrocan style, jamon serrano, corquetas are soe of the tast dishes I enjoyed eating while there.

We had our best meal in Seville at Dona Encarna. We went there right after we watched the light show of the metropol. We were a group of 11 and got seated together right away. Our food was served in a very timely manner and everything tasted delicious. We still dream of the sardines that we ordered more of when we were there.. Service was lively and excellent.

My family of 2 adults and 3 teens had dinner here on a rainy night in late March. Great location right in the south end of Plaza de la Encarnacion near the Setas. The main dining room is crowded but they were able to get a table together for the 5 of us. We had the usual tapas, and the steak was delicious (entrecote/ribeye). I found the service to be pretty good given how busy the place was, the hostess was great and very communicative on the wait and where our table would be, and the waitstaff was excellent as well, being attentive but not pushy. My limited Spanish worked fine, and when it wasn't good enough, thankfully their English was better than my Spanish. I would definitely go again.

I had a great dinner here - excellent food and very friendly and attentive staff. Their indoor and outdoor spaces are both lovely, the food is delicious and extremely well prepared and presented, and the waiters were all exemplary in their service. I had the croquetas and the presa ibérica and would 100% recommend both.

Very disappointed to be completely honest. We had decided to come here for our first night in Sevile as we had heard great things about this restaurant. However, the staff were very rude and unhappy. Our food came very quickly which we thought was a good thing, but my chicken dish was completely raw. I had eaten half as I hadn't noticed the chicken was raw, i thought it was just very tendon. I look at my chicken on my fifth bite and realise it's completely pink and slimy. This was disgusting.
We complained to the staff but they did not bother to do anything.

We came upon this busy restaurant/tapas bar/caffetteria by chance our first evening in Seville as it was near our hotel (Santa Catalina area).
Good choice of tapas-size or plate-size dishes. Grilled meat, fresh fried fish, salads, risotto, wine, beer, Sangria, homemade cakes and desserts. Delicious food, good service and honest prices. Seating inside or outside. Good atmosphere in central location.
Having travelled around Andalusia for 2 weeks and experiencing many different restaurants and bars; some good and others disappointing, on our last evening in Spain we made a beeline for Dona Encarna, even though it was a distance from our hotel (Santa Justa area)!

We visited Sevilla for 2 days were so pleased with the food and service on our first visit that we went back again on our second (and last) night. On both occasions, we ate outside but there was plenty of room inside had we wanted it. The first night, I wasn't too hungry so I had the tacos: they were probably the best tacos that I've ever had. The second night, I had the bacalao (salt cod) in a tomato sauce: it was absolutely superb!

Dinner at Doña Encarna was absolutely amazing! We ordered the Bravas, Burrata & Tomato salad, Grilled Salmon with passion fruit sauce & seasonal vegetables, and Grilled marinated chicken churrasco. The presentation of the food was beautifully done & the dishes were very flavorful! Desserts were heavenly - Belgium chocolate coulant w/ ice cream & Sevillian honey French toast with caramel & ice cream; Steven, who served us was very pleasant and kind in our interactions. Highly recommend this place for dinner, as you also get beautiful views of Las Setas!

Very delicious food and excellent service! We happened upon this place after touring the Seville Mushroom at around 9:00 pm because it was very close and seemed to have good food. We were not disappointed and got 2 picthers of sangria between the three of us and a few different entrees. Tapas and desserts to split and it was great! Would definitely come back if in area again!
