All reviews mushroom risotto pineapple tongue cheesecake octopus pork tapas husband and wife wasabi mayonnaise front of house small restaurant amazing food last night local red wine fantastic restaurant food and wine wonderful meal
Have been to this restaurant half a dozen times and the food and wine has always been out of this world. As you entre the restaurant it may not look that interesting or up market but the owners who serve and cook are delightful and...the food and wine as I've said is magnificent. It's not cheap but neither is the quality. Also need to book ahead of time reservations are taken between 11am and 2pm Wednesday to Sunday.More
We started with the salmon, followed by the Iberian Peninsula pork. Because we told the server that we were sharing, he brought one as the first course and the other as the second. Perfect. Then we had an orange sponge cake dessert and a carpacio...of pineapple. Both excellent. We also had an excellent 21€ bottle of rosé. I'm glad we booked; there were no empty tables when we left.More
Arrived unannounced last Thursday all tables full. Person who met us assured us there would be a table free in five minutes, one duly became free he sat us down. Food was excellent Pigs trotter to start (shared the plate) was unctuous, followed by Turbot,...Octopus both fantastic and a couple of fab deserts. Good wine, friendly, efficient and relaxed service. Would definitely book if you can loads of people turned away, clientele good mix of locals and tourists like us.
Thanks for a lovely evening El MercaderMore
OMG! Four of us had a wonderful meal. Lasagne with ground deer loin was worth it. The apple goat cheese starter to die for. Good spinach salad and we split four desserts four ways. Oh dear! Very very good. Nice Tempranillo too. Excellent service. A...great change from tapas.More
People's reviews said ' we visit every time we come to Granada'. We understand why after just one visit. We went without a reservation so were lucky to get a table. The food was intriguingly different and each course we had was exceptionally well cooked...- and we were told about the ingredients, the preparation and the cooking. We had - between us - goats cheese and apple; scrambled egg with brains; fabulous tuna and a great of tongue. It looked wonderful when it arrived at the table and tasted even better. All washed down with a local red wine. This was one of the best meals we've ever had - not just this on this holiday.More
We had an incredible experience at El Mercader. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. We had a delicious meal and local wine, making it a highlight of our time in Granada. Would definitely recommend eating here, but be sure to make a reservation.
