A large multi roomed restaurant with some fantastic traditional touches. Solid schnitzel and salad and smiling, charming service. This is not fine dining and I can imagine it can get loud at weekends, but landing into Berlin and going straight here is a nice immersion...More

The restaurant has a very old fashioned class about it. The service was pleasant and the food (and beer) was superb. Would strongly recommend visiting, and booking as it gets busy.

After 3 days eating Turkish food, we were delighted to visit this authentic Berlin restaurant (well over 100 years in operation). Our service was friendly, answering questions for us in English when we needed it, and helping me a bit with learning some German words....More

Popped in for a quick meal before a show so time was short. The food and wine was great and service excellent. It was very busy so make sure you book in advance.

I was there with a big group of people to enjoy german food, and I was really unsatisfied. The service was bad and both waiters very rude and unhelpful, for example when we asked what were the differences between their beers. The food is in...More

Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can
both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central
neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the
1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around
Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s,
rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a
carefree life here. An old hospital even became a
hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today
