Not to be missed restaurant

We had dinner with friends that were staying there and went to eat on their recommendation. The menu was great with lots of choices, I had the squid and it was awesome and they had Australian wine at a very reasonable price. I was so impressed with the dinner I went back for breakfast the next morning which was delicious

“This food is insane” said our daughter, adding that she wished she had five stomachs. We ate every meal there. No need or want to leave during our stay. Everything was homemade and authentic, down to the Calamari. Service is personable and welcoming. Memorable.

The Best Restaurant in Bohol

Simply beautiful, the location, view, staff. The food is out of this world, we went back 4 times during our visit. The scallops were a highlight as were the calamari. The portions are more than generous and everything's super fresh and made with great care. AMAZING

My friend and I had a late lunch (no reservation) and were greeted courteously. The meal was so tasty and the prices were reasonable. We had lunch, two wonderful cocktails, and dessert and I just want to keep going there because of the options. Quite lovely.

Not what were expecting

We read that the food here was the best in the district. Written in the lonely planet guide. We were really looking forward to this. Unfortunately a lot has changed since the last reviews on trip advisor and since the written recommendation in the LP guide. The fish was lovely. Very tasty. However it was just this on its own. The pork chops were anemic and fried. Chips were from a frozen packet. It was something like you would have in happy eater. Actually worse 😬 Onion rings were anemic also. An expensive lesson. Added other items to our bill which we noticed fortunately. Great bit of fish. Everything else was quite appalling. Shame...sounded like it was once a great place.

Thank you for your feedback, even though your review lies beyond our comprehension. You and your companion ordered 2 main courses, the tuna filet and the pork chops. The tuna was, as you described yourself, "lovely", "very tasty" and "great" while the pork chops were apparently not as you expected since they were fried. Our pork-chops are indeed PAN-fried as this is the classic way pork chops are prepared and our guests at Casa Amihan enjoy them very much. Our menu mentions the pan-frying style too. Your statement about 'other items' on your bill was indeed a small mistake, you ordered an additional portion of white rice and due to a misunderstanding in the team we charged a portion of 'fries' instead of 'rice'. We apologized immediately and of course corrected the bill. In summary we do not understand what has caused you to provide such score since you also did not share this while being our guest, otherwise we could have reacted and suggested a different item on our menu. The reviews and comments of our guests, both online and personally, have contributed a lot in getting us where we are today and thanks to our dedicated team we continuously receive excellent ratings to this date. Your review is a big exception, but looking at your previous posts it appears you've never been satisfied with any place. We hope you'll find what your are looking for in your next restaurant visit. Wonderful Honeymoon

We stayed in June 2021 for our Honeymoon ,after traveling down from Panglao , and stayed in there Ocean view Suite for 7 days. The accomodation was great value and very private...with its own outdoor covered seating area and lower terrace sunlounges. The Food was absolutely faultless and extremely good value. For much of the 7 days we had the resort to ourselves and the kitchen pretty much cooked for us only. The Staff were very friendly and engaging ...and the Chef always kept a great supply of fresh ingredients and cooked them to perfection. There was a great emphasis on Filipino Food and it was all expertly cooked. The Huge Prawn dishes and local scallops were my favourite....and my partner loved the Adobo ...best she had tried. I cant recommend this establishment more highly it satisfied my expectations completely. And one last comment....they had a all day brown out from 8am to 4pm to replace power poles and the management apologised and offered us a free dinner....unheard of anywhere else...through no fault of their own. Just a reminder to bring extra cash if you are a foreigner as the local ATMs wouldnt accept my Australian Card ...and even those Blue and Yellow ATMs that rip you off 1000peso for a 10000peso withdrawl failed to payup. No BDO or BPI ATM's only Metrobank. Luke 🇦🇺and Jovie🇵🇭

Food was mind-blowing and service was great

The restaurant is flawless, from the quality of food to the level of services. It was really a treat after an exhausting diving trip. We had local-style sizzling fish with ginger and pepper, salt and pepper prawns and scallops cooked with butter and garlic. Everything was done perfectly and we appreciated the restaurant’s attention to details. They checked if we are allergic to anything and informed us the amount of time needed for cooking. It might be a good idea to come early for a sunset drink followed with a poor side dinner. If you want to catch sunset, do come a bit early. It takes time to get there and it is definitely NOT 15 mins the hotel told us. But the view and food will make it worth it :) Thank you, Casa Amihan!

Best dinner we had in the Philippines...!!

All the good reviews are 100% true: this is an exceptional good place to eat! The food is super delicious and excellently prepared. We had dinner here, choosing for the highly recommended ‘fish kinilaw’ as our main course, starting off with springrolls filled with tuna, and finishing with the sweet banana ‘turon’ for dessert. Everything tasted absolutely fantastic. Respect for the chef! Furthermore the Casa Amihan has an intimate and romantic ambience, with a tropical garden setting and great views over the sea. It’s just a small place, quietly located at the end of a dirt road, near a stretch of white sanded beach. It’s a bit hard to get here, but you will be rewarded by the best food you might eat during your whole vacation in the Philippines. Very reasonable prices. Very friendly service.

Best food in Anda!

I was staying two days in Anda and went two times to Casa Amihan. The food is delicious, the staff unbelievably caring and the atmosphere just super relaxed. Would definitely eat there again and again and again : )

Went there for a lunch and finally stayed for the rest of the day. The restaurant was incredible and the best, the guy in charge (Rey). Impressive location, super clean. Everything awesome. We’re gonna repeat for sure!

Best meal in Bohol!

First things first - the service is very, very VERY slow so be warned! However, if you're not in a rush and have all the time in the world then the food is definitely worth waiting for! We had the calamari rings & scallops for starters and then the grilled squid and kinilaw for mains. All portions were generous (so bring an empty stomach!), very fresh, full of flavour (not salty!) and extremely delicious! The cocktails (I had amaretto sour) were also very refreshing and good. Definitely our best meal in Bohol & Cebu... highly recommend this restaurant!

This was indeed due to an unexpected shortage of kitchen staff during the day of your visit and is certainly not the norm. This should not be an excuse, rather an explanation. To Die For Food!

Apart from great amenities, it is no doubt that Casa Amihan also prides itself with their menu. Fresh seafood! I love their grilled tuna! I even asked the gen. manager for the recipe and he was kind enough to give a few tips to marinate. Also the salt & pepper shrimp is to die for!!! My son also ordered the spicy chicken wings. Although it was really spicy, we couldn't stop eating because it was rich in flavor. Maybe I should request medium spiciness next time. Their serving size and the price in the menu are truly value for money. Their service is also great, they are very accommodating and would anticipate your need. When in Anda, Bohol, I highly recommend Casa Amihan for food, service and a real R & R! My son is already asking when we will go there again. And we will comeback for sure!

Good, but not excellent!

Service was very good, Food OK, but definetly not excellent. We have had high expectations because of the previous comments. Anyhow we can not confirm this, but it was OK and the Service was very good. My proposal to the Restaurant: warm-up the plates' because Food was to quickly cold.
