Forget all the places with tables out on the path and get here right now. The confit duck leg is the best I’ve had and the desserts with chilli are amazing. Get a scoop of ice cream with your dessert as well.

We recently spent a nearly a week in Lourdes and had a particularly nice dinner at O Piment Rouge, a Basque style restaurant along Rue de la Grotte. They have a nicely decorated interior with a fair amount of seating with good table spacing. Reservations...highly recommended. We were able to reserve the day before our dinner. They were full up on the night and unable to accommodate several walk-in requests during our meal. During our meal we ordered the Duck Confit (leg) and Duck Breast mains both served with fries and a mushroom creme sauce. The sauce was unnecessary as the duck was very tasty already. The confit was crispy on the outside, succulent and flavourful. The duck breast was beautifully grilled at medium-rare to medium with a delightful reddish-pink centre and excellent flavour. House wine served during the meal was good and we also liked their basque custard slice with cream for dessert. Overall, this was best restaurant meal we had during our visit to Lourdes, one that we would be glad to return to enjoy again in the future.More

Small and authentic. Very good service. The food was fresh and tasty. Generous portions. The choices of wine were good and our bottle arrived at the table with a smile as did the rest of the mean. The table clothes give it an ambiance of...low key diner (green and white) but once inside the atmosphere is warmMore

Usually in Lourdes is difficult to find a restaurant with good food, but this one has definitely a great one. They don’t take reservations, so just try to get there and ask. The place is nice and furnished well. We took some basque appetizers and...then as main courses a Salmon and a steak. Everything was really good, maybe the steak could be cooked bettered, but was it good. The service was super fast and efficient, since we had to go to the 9 p.m. celebration. If you come to Lourdes, you should definitely go to this restaurant!More

Great, quality food presented with pride. This restaurant is a real gem serving tasty French cuisine at a great price. There are two menus to choose from very reasonably priced. The staff are very attentive and catered to our group of 12 with no problem...whatsoever. We’ve dined here every time we go to Lourdes since 2018 and have never been disappointed. It’s always a group favourite.More

I love small little restaurants, a little out of the way that have charm and class. This is a small family restaurant, and compared to other places in Lourdes, it was actually great food. It is a bit of a drive, and considering there seems...to be only 1 taxi large enough for families, it's a bit of a challenge to get here. But everything was well done. In particular, I loved the pork and the charcuterie board. The desert was also extremely well done and tasty (the crumble) The service was impeccable and friendly. Felt like a nice family restaurant for the locals. And it was well worth the visit.More

This is a nice place where we had a warm welcome after a rainy day. We had onion soup and osso bucco from the suggested menu. The prices of the menu are vey low and therefore limit what the owners can really offer. But the...quality of the food is good.More

After long rainy day we found our warm corner here. In general we were completely satisfied with menu, service and placement. It’s a well known touristic location. You can find here all kinds of cuisine, starting from French and till the Italian. I had a...set menu with traditional French onion soup. Also we shared a perfectly cooked Osso Buco. Honestly definitely we will come back here again and again.More

Perfect place for a lunch. The food was impeccable, as the service. The prices are very low. The decoration of the restaurant is classic for Lourdes. We had the menus and could not believe how they could charge a so low price for what we...got. We didn't take any wine. We had local cheeses for dessert. Everything perfect.More

Good vegetable soup. The chipotons à l’ail petits calamars is nice except that it’s a bit dry. Would have prefer it with a bit more olive oil. The creamer brûlée is good and the fondant au chocolat is very rich. The piperade au jambon Duroc was...very appetizing. The service is excellentMore
