This was a lucky find - on our way to Cherbourg to catch the ferry - and we couldn’t have asked for more from a late lunch spot. In a lovely location, next to the charming canal and with a range of striking buildings and...streets surrounding it, it felt quintessentially French and had great views from a covered area to people spot from. The staff were friendly and helpful, despite our poor grasp of French, and the food and drinks were unusual and delicious. l particularly enjoyed the local cider which was very refreshing on a hot day. We also enjoyed exploring the local streets afterwards - it is beautiful spot. There is a large free parking area conveniently located under the viaduct nearby. We would highly recommend to anyone passing through and would love to come back sometime.More

Delicious lunch in lovely friendly restaurant with laid back atmosphere. Good for a late lunch as longer opening hours than its neighbours. Covered outdoor seating with canal views. Great range of options on the menu to suit everyone including vegetarian options and delicious moules frites.

Sitting at the Crêperie du Port, enjoying the scenery, the great service from a friendly waiter, things couldn’t be better..right? And bam here comes a finger licking good galette Morbihan stuffed with a guemene andouille sausage, organic cider from Kerloick farm and a chocolate crepe!...Dinner was amazing. We never actually got to experience the food or drinks here as the woman serving started shouting 'No No No' at us before we'd even had a chance to sit down. On querying further, it seems she had a problem with us just wanting drinks...although it was highly likely that my children would have persuaded us to buy them a crepe. I suspect the real reason was downright snobbery and she didn't want us with our children to sit at her establishment. We were told we 'must' eat or we weren't welcome at which point we decided to take our business elsewhere. Dinan is a lovely place but outright rudeness isn't acceptable anywhere. We ended up taking our business to the patisserie on the corner where the staff were lovely and more than happy to serve my children. It was also far better value for money and we sat on the riverside with our delicious purchases.More

We had a great lunch here! I had a grande salade and my husband had the moules en cidre. Both meals were well prepared, fresh, and very flavorful. The wait staff was charming and prompt. This place is a winner!

I can honestly say that the galettes and crepes are some of the best I’ve had. A good choice on the menu, fast friendly service and yummy ice cream deserts too if you don’t fancy a crepe.

We were there for an early dinner. Had just had a long walk trough lovely Dinan down to the river. The place had hardly opened but we were welcomed with a smile by the waitress. They had so many options that it was difficult to...chose. I had the whole wheat crepes wit saint jaques. The kids had the crepes caramel beurre salée and one with melted after eights. They said it was the best crepes they ever had. Besides this it was possible to order a half bottle of white burgundy wine which went well with the food. Service was friendly and really fast. We received our food within five minutes. The only negative was the state of the restaurant. I think they need to freshen it up a bit.More

We were on a mini cruise from St Malo and revisited the port of Dinan to renew past memories of sailing on our boat on the Brittany canals to Nantes. We chose the formula de midi which included a bowl of local cider, a gallette...and a sweet crepe for about 10 euros. It was a cold day and unfortunately the chef was fiddling with the heaters possibly to improve the temperature. There was no one else in the restaurant at 12 until one other English couple came in for a drink. Service and coking was unfortunately slow and I had to put on my coat half way through as it was chilly inside. The cider was refreshing. Unfortunately our galettes were over cooked and tasted burnt so we left much of the edges. The dessert crepe was freshly cooked and thick but there was too much Nutella sauce which made it sickly. We did not stay for coffees. Disappointing all round😢More

Came in to Crêperie du Port as many other restaurants were serving big menus, or were closed at the end of the season. 2 salads, 2 galettes and drink for 4, plus 2 coffees came to 55€. Friendly service, excellent Périgourdine salade, and the galettes...were really tasty. We could see why it was full of locals!More
