I visited abode brassiere Manchester yesterday for my aunties birthday. The service was great! A big thank you to the blonde waitress for looking after us. The lunch was tasty and our glasses were always full. Loved the live singing and atmosphere.
I booked this place for about 10 of us for my birthday, we arrived and there was nobody to greet us. We stood at the door for about 10 minutes before crossing to the bar to try and grab someone's attention. (Place has about 4/5...tables in it was not busy). Finally got stopped very rudely by a waiter for being at the bar - suddenly we had apparently become visible. They vaguely pointed at one of 2 long tables by the door and directed us to sit down.
We had ordered the bottomless brunch which has 3 options and obviously the prosecco. It took them about 20 minutes to acknowledge our existence again & finally take even a drinks order. I asked that the time limit (2 hours) wouldn't start until we actually had some prosecco on the table. Took them a g e s and I'm not even kidding to bring 4 bottles - now for a table of 10 that were literally paying hundreds for this you would think a little more attention would have been paid to us but nope.
We had a waiter who was rude and the food took about 30 minutes to actually be brought out to us so that by the time the last of the plates were brought and all the things that were forgotten (the caulifower cheese the veg the gravy any extras) were on the table the first plates had gone stone cold. Absolute waste of time. The time it took them to bring the prosecco (takes less than 10 seconds to open a bottle) meant that it was worth us actually ordering the next lot when they finally brought the ones we had ordered 10/15 minutes before.
Towards the end of our meal we got a change in waiter and got a waitress who saved this from being a 1 star review. I would have given her personally 5 stars as she was bubbly friendly, and service was amazing.
Prosecco deal not worth it as they clearly were trying to stretch out the length of time we had with the prosecco by taking so long to serve us - if you don't wanna do a bottomless brunch take it off your menu.
Shame really as I'd heard amazing things but I will not be coming back.More
Coming from this industry, it is always so difficult to find a place where we can really enjoy and relax after work, without that horrible rush of last orders and receiving the same glare we give to our last order customers (you know who you...are!). That is, until we found Brassierie ABode. Our first visit was some two years ago, but we had never felt the need to leave a review. Since, we have been coming back after work because of their very attractive deal on cocktails (2 cocktails for £10) served with the pomp and circumstance you'd expect in a hotel. Some find this off-putting but I know it's just part of their training and they all do it so well. Then there was tonight - tonight while dining we were served by Scott. If we were to describe Scott in 3 words or fewer, they'd be "down to earth" but then you can use "just frigging awesome". The whole experience was exceptional and we had a wonderful time, we're still taking about it now, with fond smiles on our faces.
Scott: Thank you for all of your help, keep up the great work you star! Good luck in New Zealand!More
This restaurant is lovely, on our arrival the staff were attentive but never overbearing, the decor is simple with nice lighting & the overall feeling in there was relaxed, we booked the Sunday Social (£25 per person) - you get a full Sunday roast, 2...hours of bottomless prosecco & there was a girl singing acoustic songs throughout our visit. The Sunday roast was amazing!!! If the room was empty I would have licked my plate! LOL. We also had a sticky toffee pudding, this was really tasty too. I will most certainly be eating there again.....might even invite the boyfriend :)More
Four of us went for lunch of a Saturday.
At first I wasn't sure as the the restaurant is linked to to a hotel, but on sitting down those thoughts evaporated; serious money has been spent on the establishment and it is really nice,
The...staff were friendly, the food we all had was great - and not expensive.
There is wide range to choose from on the menu.
We were not pressurised over leaving the table.More
Only popped in out of curiosity, loved the fact you can be served at the table for drinks alone. Had a couple of delicious cocktails (Strawberry Daiquiri was my favourite), and general chilled vibe. Our server Scott was brilliant, can't fault him for the professional...service!More
Visited twice now In the last week (mainly thanks to “code app” but that’s just an added bonus. Last Sunday I was there by myself- the waitress zosta remembered me from a previous visit. There was a wait for the food, but was kept informed...throughout. Was advised by Zosta to try the picpoul wine. It really didn’t disappoint. I came back Monday and again was instantly recognised by Scott. The service was great. Food was just as good. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!More
The service was not good because the waiters took a while to serve us and also they had forgotten our drink orders. They also questioned if I had a booking, maybe because I’m black, when I clearly had the email.
