Our meal was delicious, bar the fillet steak. It was the worst piece of filet steak I’ve ever encountered. I could only eat half as the other half was complete fat. I do believe the chef should’ve realised the poor quality of the steak and...should not have cooked or served it. The restaurant was busy and we were tucked in a corner, so when the waitress finally came to check on us we had nearly finished our meal. The chef did offer cook me another steak but as we were so far through the meal it would’ve been wasted.More

We booked a table for four by telephone, a few weeks ahead of our trip to Tewkesbury. On arrival we found the restaurant full of what was obviously a private party. Staff looked at us like we'd arrived from Mars. No, they didn't have our...booking. They suggested it was our fault for using the telephone number on the website, not the booking form (which failed to work). We explained that we'd spoken to the proprietor himself, who had confirmed the booking. We asked to speak to him. He refused to leave the kitchen and sent his, by now very stressed and embarrassed waitress out to give us this bad news herself. Not sure which was worse: the lost booking, or the cowardly and unapologetic way this was dealt with. As we didn't know Tewkesbury, and it was a Friday night, we struggled to find somewhere else to eat. At the very least, an offer to help us find an alternative would have been the decent thing to have done, rather than hide behind the waiting staff.More

Very cosy, with only a handful of tables. Sunday lunch was pleasant, and they have one of the cheaper Sunday lunch menus in the area by almost half. The beef was very good, as were the potatoes, and plenty of value for money, although the...Yorkshire puddings were not homemade. The chef on duty was a great fan of strawberries, served with almost everything (deep fried brie... prawn cocktail?) A little bizarre but we laughed it off! I would recommend this place if you're on a budget, although we wouldn't go back.More

We as a family of 6 and a toddler just had dinner at The Abbott’s Table this evening. The service was so friendly and accommodating. The food was mouth watering, and every member of my family thought the food was incredible. I would highly recommend...anyone in the area to visit this restaurant, you certainly won’t regret it. Thank you for your service!More

We spent a very enjoyable evening at this restaurant. The restaurant is very unpretentious, with a warm cosy feel as soon as you enter. The waitress was very polite and friendly making you feel relaxed, the menu has a good choice of dishes to choose...from, also they have a very good wine list to complement the dishes on the menu. The food is excellent, and cooked to perfection. We were lucky enough to meet the chef, so we able to let him know much of a pleasure it had been for us to try some of his dishes he had prepared and cooked for us. Very high standard of skills coming from the kitchen in this restaurant, we would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys eating foods that are cooked by a chef who is at the top of their game.More

Had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. Freshly prepared food with great presentation and stylish touches. The service was fantastic and there was a nice atmosphere. The menu is small but there's good variety and the wine list is well priced. Would highly recommend.
