The service here is terrible the single left hand side till we were told is where we order our food, we were waiting there ages while new people we’re coming in and getting served before us at the main bar, even taking food orders off...them, I had to ask a young food runner multiple times why they were serving every one before us, there was a old man also waiting in front of us. It wasn’t particularly busy but we were left there ages while every one else was walking in and getting served, why would you tell people to order food from the till at the far end if your not going to serve them, especially taking food orders from new people coming in from the main bar. Food was okay but service was that poor I wouldn’t visit again.More

following a disaster at another pub, we were taken to the Ragley Boat Stop by friends with promises that it would make it all better. They were not wrong. I cannot believe the quality of the food for the prices. £18.99 for 2 steaks and...a bottle of wine is a winner in my books. The food is great and was cooked exactly as we ordered. We had a range of side dishes between us and they were very tasty. The staff are friendly and attentive when ordering. We were so impressed we went again only a few weeks later and will be looking to do so again very soon as it makes for a lovely evening out with friends in a relaxed atmosphere which serves good food. I’m sure their other dishes are equally as good but so far we haven’t been able to sample them as the steaks are so divine that we’ve not been able to tear ourselves away to try something else! I can’t believe I made it this long without having discovered this place sooner! If you like steaks it’s well worth trying here as the prices are reasonable for the amount and the quality you get.More

Went in August 2021, first meal out in over a year. A Boat Stop customer for decades but this was awful. I even felt sorry for the young waitress, she did her best but had no help from the older woman who runs it. The...older woman’s attitude is disgusting and she is two faced. We all ordered and the food came quick no noticeable delays, most had 3 courses overall bill with drinks was over £250!! We had issue with food, not a well done steak, it came rare as others had ordered, cold chips for kids meals felt they had been sat waiting, cold lasagne again guess sat waiting, told the waitress about adults meals, then told waitress about kids secondly. She went back for a spoon for them. when she took the kids meals back , second complaint, the owner/boss woman snapped her head off what’s up with them now, then comes over all polite, we told her we heard what she said to the waitress and how she was, she tried to deny it. Terrible service, felt for young girl, won’t go for food for a while but nice view to have a drink by canal.More

Got there, ordered food, and it was a long wait to the point where you were going to ask what has happened with your order - but it arrived after 40 minutes. I ordered the Fajitas, tasteless and burnt, No moister or taste in the...steak or chicken over cooked and swimming in oil. very chewie meat. The chips for my Mrs was appaling, it was the greasey kind with very little potato inside, cripsy with grease. She also ordererd a 5 inch pizza starter. described as four cheeses.. It was a microwavable pizza from farm foods with frozen garden pea's and those greasey chips it looked like a childs dish and not a starter. I had the desert - belguim waffle and ice cream, my mrs took ONE bite out of the waffle ( looked GREAT by the way ) her face turned sour ? I wondered why so i also took a bite - the waffle was stale and hard and was cold - isn't the icecream suposed to melt on a warm waffle ? WASN'T happening felt fuming, as no 1 even asked if the food was ok? So was sure to tell them, myself. I asked for the mangaer and the waitress ran and got another waitress.. who didn't know what to say to me, or how to deal with it.. Quickly realising THIS IS NOT THE MANAGER who is actrully just stood to the side doing nothing to my complaint, i TOLD HIM right off, for not talking to ME !! and dealing with me.. I asked for a refund for the desert as we ate the food well half of it. I left in anger and was disapointed. I won't be returning, it is ran by kids, it used to be my favourite restaurant for many years, how it has changed. Slow service - Unwilling managment and the food is BAD. I have since read the reviews on here from the last few weeks since my visit and i can honestly say - there not wrong, I had the same expierance.More

Ordered salmon and it arrived burnt! Did not enjoy this experience. Other restaurants in this chain are lovely but sadly this was not good. There was also no social distancing.

Have visited many times before and always have fajitas, which are amazing. However on this visit, there were no real ales as they had run out. A pub that doesn’t sell beer? Husband was not happy. Also there was a family with 3 young children...at another table. I know children should not be expected to sit still and quietly for a long time, but the children were very noisy, screaming and shouting. This ruined our quiet night out together. Needless to say, with no beer and the noisy atmosphere, we ate up and left.More

Went on Sunday for a bite to eat. They opened the doors as we arrived in the car park so not busy at all. Ordered drinks at the bar. Popped back to order two all day breakfasts. went and sat down. Noticed the table had...chocolate ice cream all over it, also the next table appeared to be splattered in black currant juice, remembering that they have only just opened.......the food arrived with the cutlery and serviettes. The cutlery was filthy so we took it back and asked for clean new cutlery. 6 minutes after staring at our growing ever cold food my wife went up and asked again for clean cutlery only to be told that they forgot......the place was near on empty and they forgot. one minute after getting one set of clean cutlery and another dirty set a waiter popped over asking if everything was ok. not to put him on the spot and let our food get any more colder we said it was fair enough. finished our food and promptly left. This restaurant is our go to place when we have had poor service or bad food elsewhere. might have to re-think our choice........not happy at all.More
