Had a most beautiful experience and meal here Taken by our son for a 30th wedding anniversary meal. Made feel so welcome from start to finish , most covid efficient, Food was exceptional as was service We had the most joyous amuse bocce, little starers...each of the three were exquisite Also bread provided through the meal was of very high and tasty quality Next for the main meal The beetroot starter in particular was delightful. The second course was suberb my son in particular loved the chicken Three of us had the lamb main Cooked to a level never tasted before. I never knew a whole carrot could taste so well. All the different flavours completing each other , creating a taste sensation. The desert also was a very pleasing experience , we all chose the strawberry option Then another little selection of treats to end our meal very delicious Wine good value and given our driver couldn’t drink she was offered nicely a non acholcal wine which she very much appreciated One of us was vegetarian and also enjoy the meal Very good value. Total bill with 2bottles of wine E 421. Without a little tip Could not highly recommend this restaurant more the only thing that was more outstanding than the food , was the service. Great experience by a well trained and very professional team. Food was exceptional and the service was equally as good. We attended the chefs table and each of the dishes was a delight. We paired these with the matching wines which were also fantastic. I...could not fault the team at Chapter 1. They were also excellent in their management of Covid 19. Our return to probably our favourite Restaurant. Chapter 1 a hidden gem in heart of Dublin but found by its sheer reputation for the Michelin star restaurant that it is. What an experience and altough we have visited previously Ross Lewis and his team make...it a wonderful dining experience .All dishes majically thought out and combine beautifully The 4 course option offers a variety of options . The crab pancake followed by the turbot was perfect while and good lady tucked into the chicken and lamp. Those descriptions are a simple explanation of the culinary dishes which were put together as masterpieces in there own right. Oh found a new best wine from the music master Sting. This chianti was worthy of z second bottle and then finished off with a bit of table theatre from Marco with his Irish coffees If you have not been and are visiting Dublin you must visit but you must advance book to be sure of a table. Can not recommend highly enough the staff and the visit to the floor by Ross to meet and greet is a warm touch Will be back.More

The decor, ambiance, food, wine and service are outstanding. When you arrive, you know you're going to have a special evening. We opted for the tasting menu with wine pairing. At 200 per head it actually represents great value for money considering the calibre of...service, food and beverages. Every course was impeccable and the pre starters, breads, particularly the sourdough, were expertly made and delicious. The standout dish for us was the Mille feuille of Sean Ring Chicken - easily a 2 star dish - sumptuous rich flavours and the pastry was so light and airy it cut through the richness - genius! The wine pairings perfectly complimented the food and the sommelier was very friendly and delivered succinct, easy to understand info on each wine. The Lustau sherry with the chocolate soufflé was spot on. They also have one of the biggest Midleton Very Rare Irish whiskey collections in the world! The service and timing was so seamless, we were blown away by the precision and friendliness of the team here, expertly coordinated by the charming Danny Desmond. Chapter 1 is easily one of the best dining experiences in Ireland, better than a recent 2 star Dublin restaurant imo.More

We ate at the chefs table just before lockdown and it’s truly superb. Just sit and enjoy the whole experience including the wine pairings. You will be truly impressed and delighted.

Memorable and unlike some, lives up to all the hype. Each course better than the last and thoroughly recommended.

We booked a table as an anniversary treat. The only time available was 17.15 so we had the pre-theatre menu which is very good value for the quality. I had the duck breast for starter and my wife had the crab meat. Both really good....I had the lamb for main. The flavours were superb. My wife loved the Brill. It was a very big fillet. We both had the milk and honey dessert which was delicious. We had a lovely (but expensive) red wine. The service was excellent. The social distancing worked very well. Overall a great experience.More
