Visited Paradiso with my partner in early October. The restaurant is quaint but comfortable and tastefully decorated. The set menu of three courses for €48 was very reasonably priced. We shared a bottle of Gran Cerdo Rioja which was quite possibly the best wine we have ever had in a restaurant. Having my reservations about a meal with no meat, I was sceptical wether I would leave hungry but was I wrong! Portion sizes were very adequate and the flavours and textures of each dish was a joy to the palette. Service was extremely prompt and attentive and I would have absolutely no reservations in returning or recommending Paradiso. A truly educational experience which has encouraged me to cook more vegetarian meals at home.

Visited early on a Thursday evening with reservation. Staff were friendly and helpful. My husband had the early bird menu and I ordered the standard 3 course menu and we were delighted with every course. The halloumi was our favorite starter, note it did have a bit of heat to it. The carrot starter was also Devine and the couscous main was a real winner as well and the waiter also, kindly, served a plain yogurt for my husband who is not a fan of coriander. The tamale was also very good but it is on the heavy side. Everything was fabulous and we were not rushed at all which I really appreciate. Highly recommend.

Delicious meal at Paradiso. First time there and will be back. Both meat eaters but we thought the dishes were delicious. Beautifully presented and good portions. Service was efficient. Deserts were good and especially the sea salt ice cream was exceptional! We had the three course set menu at 49euro and we felt it was very good value. Would recommend

I had heard amazing things about paradiso, so I booked it as soon as I booked my trip to Cork. As a vegetarian, I have tried out so many veggie spots and this was hands down the best. The flavours were incredible with amazing use of local, seasonal ingredients and innovative use of spices. I particularly fell in love with the cauliflower and cashew korma starter, and the aubergine parcels main course. My non-vegetarian boyfriend, who was skeptical at first, said it was one of the best meals he had eaten in a long time. The service was also fantastic and both waiters were very chatty and helpful. I can’t wait to come back and try some different dishes next time I’m in Cork!

I went with a friend to paradiso because it had been recommended on a few travel websites. I could not recommend this place enough. It resulted in a truly exceptional night out.
The service was fantastic, the staff were all friendly, and the atmosphere was formal enough to feel like you were having a good night out whilst staying relatively relaxed. The food came in six small servings, definitely enough for one person, with each portion having a distinct flavour, texture, and presentation. Despite all the food being vegetarian, it did not feel like the food was made to try to recreate the flavours of meat, but instead create entirely new plant-based dishes. As a result, I had a range of entirely new experiences with fantastic vegetarian food.
The price of the food (65 euros for 6 courses) felt fully justified after having eaten there. Whilst I am normally not a fan of wine, my friend and I each had a glass which had been recommended to us by the waiter. The wine was very refreshing and did not overpower the food. The wine selection was great as well- it was very broad.
I would definitely go again, and recommend to anyone staying in Cork.

Ans what a delight, my sons took me there my first trip back to Cork post Pandemic. Delightful to be welcomed by Stephen, then the tasting Menu, all nine dishes were delicious, what a clever way to give people the opertunity to tase so many differen dishes, all with their own special taste too, a very far cry from Scrambled eggs, which seemed to be as much as most restaurants could come up with in the 70s!!!when being a vegetarian was seen as a bit Odd!! Hha I liked the decor too, All in all a superb Birthhday Great Company, Delicious food, as well as being in Cork You dont have to be a vegetarian to enjoy that food soexperience this next time your wanting to enjoy a superb evening. Thank you E Cole.

When I think of vegetarian I think of the usual one or two choices on the restaurant menu, Lasagne or risotto!!! To say I was pleasantly surprised would be a complete understatement. Although the menu is limited (no bad thing in any restaurant really) everything looked appetising and interesting.
I am a total carnivore so approached this experience with some skepticism. I started with black bean chocloate soup. yep, that's not a misprint. It was divine. The main course was equally stunning, sprouting broccoli, tempeh (whatever that is? It had a satisfying meaty texture), satay sauce, sticky black rice with Sumac suace!! I finished with steamed ginger pudding. All stunningly presented and delicious.
The decor was suave and the service excellent. If I could get vegetraian food like this every day I'd eat a lot less meat! My little country has become a marvellous foodie place, and Paradiso is an exemplar of that excellence!!

A chance recommendation brought us to Paradiso on a recent trip to Cork. The food was Exquisite - I would recommend it unreservedly - though do make sure to make a reservation if eating there late week/weekend when it is unsurprisingly popular.
It is an extraordinary vegetarian restaurant with humble ingredients raised to stellar levels: I was particularly impressed by the Braised Turnip Galette with its velvety smooth port sauce. Sublime!
Visit and enjoy.

The best vegan food experience I've had to date. We didnt have a choice of dishes (likely covid making greater vegan choices hard to maintain) which turned out for the better as we still had 3 courses of 3 dishes each, with every 1 of those dishes being 5 stars except 1 four star dish (that good).
Sam, our waiter, recommended excellent wine pairings and was very sincere in letting us know that changing our choice after tasting was no problem at all.
Sam was overall a great part of the whole experience and I will henceforth be adopting his personality as my own.
Looking forward to a return to Cork just to dine here again.

As a vegan I was disappointed. Went for early bird only one vegan choose for main and a starter that had to be adapted by taking the cheese away. Service was patchy. Perhaps because I’m an older woman on my own? He forgot to bring the wine I’d ordered. I was given a different desert despite him recommending the one I ordered as it was vegan.it was delicious.
Finally the bill was incorrect!!!
Tbh I’ve had better vegan food in my local omnivore restaurant.

I'm not a vegetarian but Paradiso is one of my favourite restaurants. The tasty colourful dishes they create with vegetables always amazes me. Although some may think the restaurant is expensive and they may leave hungry I have never left Paradiso feeling this way as every plate has so many flavours, textures and created with such detail. It's great to have this restaurant on my door step!

I hadn't been to Cafe Paradiso in about 8 years but the place has always been on my mind for a revisit. Our dinner last Saturday was so worth the wait. I love the new selection of 3 x 3 dishes. We had them with a deliciously chilled Pinot Noir. The cooking here is so exceptional you forget it's 'vegetarian', the flavours are satisfying, complex and refined. Every experience here is memorable and incredibly good value when you consider the quality of ingredients and the magical craft of the kitchen staff. Service is friendly, informal but informed and professional. If you're in Cork you simply must come.

Was here for dinner last night with the lovely Ursula.
What can I say? Six course meal, a luxurious holiday for the taste buds!
Exquisite little dishes sculpted by a chef who knows what exactly they’re doing. Gordon Ramsay eat your heart out!
The staff are superb, the nicest most pleasant and charming people you could meet.
It was very busy but our service level was excellent, just right between courses.
I can’t praise this menu enough. It’s not the cheapest in town and the staff do explain to people coming in about the cost which I think is great, before the customers sit down and then decide to leave.
I have never experienced a crafted menu like this before. Ursula was also delighted with it. Each course is completely different and unique.
Paradiso has been in existence 30 years and I cannot believe I never went here before.
By the way, it’s vegetarian but the food is so delicious, you wouldn’t even miss a meat dish if you’re a carnivore!
Top top recommendation from me!

Paradiso is a landmark vegetarian restaurant established in 1993, in a time when vegetarism was still quite a rarity in Ireland. I had built up this restaurant to my 2 daughters, a vegan and a vegetarian, as the ultimate dining experience for them in Ireland. So I was a little worried that I may have built their expectations too high when we booked a meal there. But they or I were not disappointed with the fantastic dinner we enjoyed which was easily the highlight of our staycation holiday in Cork. Being an old fashioned carnivore, I had no idea of what I was ordering when I made my choices from the 3-course set dinner menu, but we were all in for an amazing treat of flavours and textures. To top it off, the staff were wonderful and added to a truly memorable dinner.
