We had the best lunch ever at Forage & Chatter. Every mouthful was so flavourful and each dish was so artistically arranged. We had the set menu, which we thought was brilliant value. Friendly, attentive service - a totally perfect dining experience. Will certainly go...More

We were in Edinburgh to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary and had booked this restaurant as it seemed, from reviews, that it would feel special but without the associated high price tag and pretentiousness of some other places. We were not disappointed. Great food,...More

West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in
industrial Britain had their most desirable
neighborhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes.
Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest
citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind
grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel
crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and
sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along

Yup! I’m gluten free and had no problems. Other allergies and sensitivities (there was a few in our party) were handled superbly.

A dining experience offering locally sourced Scottish cuisine, hidden in Edinburgh's West End. A fantastic menu, using foraged items from Edinburgh and local meats & fish to produce the very best dishes.
