YuGo serves some yummy dishes, and some questionable ones. Tempura broccoli and pork dumplings are sure winners. It is better than most tapas places as, when you order correctly, you actually feel pretty full. Defiantly get a side to ballast your stomach. This reviewer recommends...the duck rice side.More

Excellent food and customer service. Loved our cocktails and every dish we ordered. Food came out in a decent time frame and our server was lovely. Highly recommend. Only thing to note - I’m sure I added it was my partners birthday into the booking...and it wasn’t mentioned by the server.More

Was expecting great things after reading all the positive reviews, but sadly it doesn’t, in my opinion, live up to the hype. fusion in principle can be great, but wasn’t well executed here. None of the dishes we ordered, and we ordered many, delivered what...was promised. A mish mash that disappointed rather than delighted. Sorry to say the cocktails also didn’t work for us. The service and staff were very good, however they couldn’t save the food. What a pityMore

Abysmal quantity of food. We bought several dishes and left hungry. Cocktails were nice and service was good but won't be back. Very disappointing.

I have just been here tonight and I was incredibly impressed by the food, service and vibe. Firstly booking with Connor was brilliant he was so full of energy and so lovely to talk to.. so many places now just take a booking and give...nothing but I could of spoke to Connor all day super friendly.. got into town earlier than expected and rang and asked to see if we could go half an hour earlier and it was no issue…. Got in and had the most loveliest waitress.. I didn’t get her name but she was young, brilliant tattoos on her arms and had lovely clips in her hair… the restaurant is all small plates tapas but Asian. The food was insane everything was delicious and the special which was the Iberian pork was amazing! This restaurant is a really special find. Amazing staff amazing food and amazing vibe! Well done guys!!More

Yugo had been recommended to us but we were very disappointed. The sushi was very good but everything else we tried was overpriced and very poor. The tempura broccoli was very greasy with a heavy overcooked greasy batter bearing no ressemblance to tempura. The steamed...pork dumplings tasted like undercooked sausage meat which I found inedible. The scallop ceviche was tasty but a tiny portion for £12. We paid £97 in total for 2 people and were disappointed and hungry at the end.More

This place was lovely, nice trendy decor, food was stunning and whilst some say the menu is limited I thought there was lots to choose from. On that basis it’s 5 star however..:. Whilst I would go back I do have an issue. We booked...at 2.30, the last lunch sitting. Within minutes of arrival we were told its “last orders” in the kitchen so we needed to order everything we wanted at that time as we there would be no opportunity to order after that. So that wasn’t really a great vibe to start our lovely lunch out when we were literally just in the door. We were on a day trip to Belfast and we carefully considered our choice for lunch and planned it. We were asked 3 times if we’re finished when we were not and then told if we wanted desserts we needed to order them now as “kitchen is closing” Whilst we did have the time we needed to have a nice lunch (we didn’t have desserts) we could have done without the reminders! and i do get that there is a lunch service and a dinner service here but we were made to feel that out 2.30 booking was just too late and rushed for their kitchen at lunch closing time. If that’s the case then stop your bookings at 2 and not 2.30 rather than make your customers feel the way we were made to feel within minutes of arrival and at a couple of times during the meal. There is no mention of a time limit or anything on the booking confirmation that I could see so you could make it clearer here. So go…just don’t go at 2.30More

Out of this world. We enjoyed every single thing we put in our mouths, from the amazing cocktails to the delicious food. Emily, we think that was her name, served us and she was fabulous. We loved it. Cant say enough good things about this...place. Quite possibly the nicest meal/experience we've ever had.More

Arrived at the time of our reservation at lunchtime only to be immediately told that the kitchen would be shutting in 15 mins and we had to order everything together. What a welcome. Server was quite rude and abrupt throughout. Food was ok. Disappointing experience...overall.More

Fusion heaven. Every single mouthful was loaded with flavour , understanding of the ingredients and all expertly cooked. Another gem in the Belfast restaurant scene. A dish with chili had a proper chili hit , a dish with Indian spices took you to the streets...of Mumbai. The lamb chops are a must. If you don’t order them you should go and sit on the naughty step. The Beef short rib Massaman curry was the best I have ever had anywhere. A melt in your mouth spiced carousel of joy. A deft hand and palate has designed their menu matched with the deft hands and palates of the chefs.More

We prebooked but just as well it became really busy on a Friday night! Loved the interior design very Japanese & lucky to get a table by the window ..excellent friendly & helpful service , food & presentation too! We started off with cocktails …...a margarita & a seasonal spritz both delightful. We chose the satay spring rolls , crispy dumplings , tuna tataki, the crispy prawn in a dumpling & the tempura broccoli all absolute delicious plus 2 glasses of rosez ! What a start to our night & easy access to the Grand Opera house nearby ! Well done everyone , chefs included ! However the music got turned up too much volume & I’m glad we went early as I couldn’t have coped with that at 5 pm … Also I didn’t like the loos being not gender specific , please revert to a ladies loo & a gents loo !More

Myself and my wife have been regular diners at Yugo since it opened and have recommended it to friends and family as the food is always excellent and the atmosphere enjoyable. We went again last night and discovered that they had effectively moved next door...(into the old Made in Belfast space). The new layout and styling was OK and the food up to the usual high standard...what we had of it. Unfortunately, at around 8pm the background ambient music changed to pounding dance music and was suddenly cranked up to eleven! We had to raise our voices to speak to each other. We called over our server and asked for it to be turned down a little. After asking us to repeat what we had said, as she could not hear us above the music(!), we were informed quite bluntly that this was not possible(?) as the owners wanted to add a Japanese nightclub feel to the new setting. Having spent time in Japan I can confirm that nightclubs and restaurants there are different places and there is no such thing as a Japanese restaurant/nightclub. After asking again for the music to be lowered we decided to leave and have our main course at 'Love Fish' around the corner (which was very good BTW) as I could feel a headache coming on. I am usually happy to have background music in restaurants create a certain atmosphere, but this was completely obtrusive, inappropriate and spoiled the experience for us.More
