We dined here last night and it was stunning. The food and service were second to none. Each course was carefully prepared as you would expect and full of flavour. Great care and attention was given to when the food was delivered - not too...quickly but at a good pace to savour each course. We had the taster menu but decided against the wine pairings. The sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly and recommended some excellent wines for us. Would definitely return without question.More

Lovely food, but waiting staff need to add service with a smile at £175 per head and enthusiasm with each course of a tasting menu. Sommelier fabulous and engaging.

I had a voucher for my 40th birthday from my husband to have the tasting menu here and we invited friends to join us. Having previously had amazing tasting menus at Simpsons, Purnells and a hotel in Bath I was really looking forward to it....I have to say the food really was exceptional but unfortunately I was left a little underwhelmed by the service. My previous experiences of such nights were really quite special but something was missing here. The staff did everyone they should but no more. The evening felt a little lacking somehow, like the staff had no passion for what they do. I don’t like over-attentive/over-chatty waiters but this was the total opposite. I struggled to understand what some of the courses were as they explained them very quickly in a very monotone voice, like they really couldn’t be bothered. I left feeling a little disappointed I’m afraid. It definitely wasn’t worth the money! I’d go elsewhere if you want something extra special.More

From start to finish this dining experience was fabulous. The staff are so attentive and knowledgeable about the food. The food was all delicious, 2 of us had the taster menu and 2 the a la carte ! It was all superb and it’s a...lovely touch that they serve extra courses in between. It was a celebration for our daughters graduation and it didn’t disappoint!!More

This place has bee excellent in the past and have been a repeat customer over the years. Not a great experience however on Saturday. Before reading, I want you to understand it costs nearly £500 for food, drink and the service charge at this restaurant...for two people! So naturally my expectations are high, and I think I'm justified in expecting the food and service to be ON POINT! The food was good I have no complaints about this. But came out at odd intervals, sometimes our plates felt snatched away and the next course came out straight away, not even time for the sommelier to replace the glasses and feed the learned by rote speel with the wine course. Other course took much longer to the point where we didn't have any food or drink infornt of us for nearly 30min and wondered if we had been forgotten. The waiting staff were unable to remember the food they were placing Infront of us, saying it was cucumber, then it wasn't cucumber, then actually it was! It didn't matter anyway because she mumbled bellow the volume of the restaurant in general and I had to lip read most of what was said. A smile and a friendly attitude would have helped here. Instead, she looked so depressed I didn't raise it. But as the night wore on, I wish I'd asked for someone else as the inadequate service continued. Another 'trainee' took our food to another table - in a pandemic - and the sommelier had to go and correct her and did so by pulling on her arm which seemed a little over the top. We had been waiting for nearly 30min for this, the main course and the frustrations we're starting to show. Finally, when we wanted a cocktail to finish the evening, again ignored for over 20 min whilst they served the top of the restaurant. We tried to speak to wrong table girl and got totally blanked. Eventually I put my hand in the air and waived at the maitre d and he obliged in short order. There was a distinct feeling that we had to suffer the training of staff that evening. It wasn't the polished experience I expect for the price point, I don't think they were ready and I certainly won't be back any time soon if at all. Shame had some good memories here over the years.More

Wow!! What an experience. Some of the finest food we’ve ever had and service beyond exceptional. This is a dining experience and, whilst expensive, is well worth ‘saving up for’. The taster menu is £105 pp but every course (and extras) are outstanding. The service...is professional but also friendly. 22 page drink menu means you can choose any wine you can dream of (my wallet limited me!) . I normally try and replicate restaurant food at home…..sadly here I am but a mere mortal and will have to start saving for my next visit. Birmingham should be proud , this restaurant would grace any great city.More

I booked the restaurant for my partners 40th birthday because we wanted something really special. Adams did not disappoint and actually exceeded all expectations. The attention to detail by the staff were excellent and we never had to ask for anything. The food was sublime,...everything cooked to perfection and the flavours were so complimentary of each other. This is an expensive restaurant but it doesn't disappoint and you get what you pay for (actually more in this place).More

Bright but relaxing decor, happy staff who were welcoming, efficient and not intrusive. The amuse bouches and individual courses were beautifully presented and all tasted heavenly. Fresh amazing flavours and each dish was perfectly balanced. All so excellent that I can’t pick the best! Brilliant...evening, couldn’t be improved on!More

Yes, the wine flight is priced per person. So this would be absolutely fine. See you soon.

Very expensive - for us, it would have to be very special occasions only! The taster menu, of course, doesn't include wine or other drinks. But it is absolutely sensational! And they are very aware of diners' food... More
