Visited here as friends for a bottomless brunch. Worth noting that the bottomless starts from the time of booking not when you arrive so don’t be late! Overall service was good and food very nice however portion size varied amongst meals and whilst one of us had a large portion other choices were a bit smaller for the same price.
Good to have drink options outside of just prosecco which is one of the main reasons we visited.
Would visit again.

I came here with a friend on a Sunday morning around 10-11am. We both had pancakes and a coffee. The food, drink, and service were great for the price.
Unfortunately they didn’t have any heating so everyone was sat in coats and the food went cold so quickly. It was about 1-2C outside and probably under 10C inside.
We ate quickly and while we enjoyed our food and drink it was spoiled by the fact it was painfully cold inside!

Probably the best bottomless brunch I’ve had in Birmingham. Spot on service, food was absolutely delicious and drinks selection was much better than you can often get elsewhere. Espresso martinis were amazing!

We came here for breakfast when it was quite busy. The granola was too crunchy to eat it was like it had been set in honey, there was way too much granola for the pitiful amount of yoghurt. There wasn’t enough clean cutlery for our table and there were no straws for the smoothie we ordered. We ordered 2 sausage baps and 1 bacon bap and got 3 bacon and sausage baps, there were no bottles of water and the people serving behind the counter we arguing. The prices reflect table service but you have to go to the counter to order your food and pick up your own cutlery. Won’t be going back ...

5 booked for bottomless brunch. 1 was on medication on the date of visit and asked to switch to ordering off the regular menu. Member of staff was extremely rude about a reasonable request. Took first drinks over 15 minutes into 2 hour window however was asked to pay and leave before the end of 2 hours even after protesting about it. Some of the worst customer service ever experienced and this individual should absolutely not be working in the hospitality industry.

I used to eat and drink in here a lot in the early years (first customer to fill a hundred loyalty cards), then moved away and became an occasional customer on returning to Birmingham. I've visited here three times in the last two months, and it's been disappointing, and so different (in not good ways) each time. Tables take a long time to be cleared, even when it's quiet; food portions are small for the price; the music is offputtingly-loud, especially when trying to hold a conversation.
However, my latte on the last two visits is why I'm probably going to give Urban a miss from now on. On both occasions there were several staff but hardly any customers. I ordered, my latte took an age to appear (but I could hear the staff chatting away), and when it did appear it was barely warm. I'm presuming someone made it, then the staff had a chat, then someone remembered that a customer was waiting for it.
Anyway, I'm out. I can appreciate that it's much more difficult to hire and retain good customer service in recent times, but other places in Birmingham manage it. Alas, not Urban; a shame.

Had a good experience here previously, this week was not so good. Vegetarian breakfast was cold, hard eggs and a very small amount of halloumi. Urban breakfast was better, no flavouring in the beans as described.
Service was very slow and tables were filthy, went my entire meal with the previous customers food on my table, despite members of staff coming over twice. Felt very overpriced for the food and service we received
One to avoid unfortunately

After getting excited for the pancakes me and my friend arrived (lucky to get a table!). Dirty menus on tables, we decided what we wanted to order and went downstairs to do so. We were met with ‘no pancakes’ as the person behind the counter gleamed as they said this. We let a man behind us go whilst we decided what else we should have. The lovely chef sneaked around and told us she had one more pancake left (the other staff ignored her so she told us direct).
After telling the guy my coffee order, he made a face to the girl making my order INFRONT of me and said ‘I know’. Like? It may have been a basic white girl order (hazelnut iced mocha) but I am who I am? I also went for a slice of lotus sponge cake. After the other girl very happily told us a 35min wait on food (putting us off?)Tasteless and the coffee wasn’t much better. Also in plastic take away a cups when we were sitting in? My friend got a cold chocolate. It was so bad literally just hot chocolate powder and milk, you could crunch the powder in your teeth it was not mixed properly at all.
All in all I won’t be back, and I know the staff won’t care. The girl openly laughed as nobody answered the phone. If you don’t want to work in hospitality then simply don’t. You can tell the staff here do not care. My advice would be hire staff that give a sh*t. looking at the reviews from previous times it seems that they’re the ones bringing you down.

The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are very friendly, from the prices and menu items described it presents itself as a quality breakfast place but falls short.
We ordered 2 veggie breakfasts and there was a lot wrong with it. The vegan “sausage” was just a vegetable finger, nothing like the wide variety of fake meat sausages we were expecting. The poached eggs were over cooked and vinegary, the tomatoes not roasted, mushrooms were very dry and the halloumi was undercooked for personal taste.
For the £9.99 price tag ingredients and quality of cooking was way below what it should have been, for other similar priced veggie/vegan breakfast places nearby Boston tea party is a clear winner.

This placed looked lovely, menu looked good and that’s basically where it ends. We had veggie breakfast which was disgusting. The halloumi was cooked so badly you could have smashed windows with it. Those veggie sausages were disgusting. My partner had scrambled eggs on toast and they were so sloppy underneath.
Honestly don’t bother

Came here as it had good reviews and fancied a change of scenery. We had the urban brekkie and at just under £12 each we were disappointed by it. Our breakfasts weren't very hot, the poached eggs were nice but the micro herbs a bit unnecessary, the beans had too much cajun seasoning and were over spiced for a breakfast, the sausage was colder as you got closer to the centre of the ring, Roasted tomatoes weren't roasted just a tomato cut in half (if they had been heated they had lost their heat by the time it got to us), the mushroom had a nice flavour but had no seasoning and were a bit dry, the black pudding was inedible as if it had barely been cooked. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day, but still temp checking would probably be a good idea and a bit of seasoning goes a long way, I could be just picky

Had breakfast with my girlfriend here today. Was very disappointed in the basic customer service today.
Staff seemed totally unprepared for customers and look totally lost. I don’t know if there were no management on today but it looked as though all the staff were on there first day.
No milk bought over with coffees, no cutlery given when meals bought out so had to flag a member of staff for those.
Nobody clearing any plates for next course. Just sloppy and pretty half soaked! With some training this could be solved.
Having said this, the food was lovely and we enjoyed what we ordered.
The staff just need to shape up.

Paid £17 for poached eggs and avocado with halloumi and a mushroom.
Eggs were hard and the single mushroom very undercooked. A nice place but overpriced in view of the poor food. Sorry guys you can do much better than this.

I've done many bottomless brunch across the UK and this has to best. Food was delicious and they really catered well to vegans. The service was exceptional and we were treated really well. Great quality food and drink.

Visited with slightly sore heads. The staff were lovely, cheery and welcoming and provide quick and efficient service. The cafe itself is a fresh and relaxing atmosphere but unfortunately let down by the food 😞 Both my husband and I ordered Eggs Benedict and I got a side of hashbrowns. 3 of the 4 poached eggs were overdone with the 4th being only slightly runny and I found some shell in mine. The bacon was perfectly crisp with a nice smooth hollandaise sauce. I was expecting the hashbrowns to be on the side so that we could share but they were added to my food under the eggs which made them quite hard to separate but maybe that's something I should have specified.
The coffee was really nice and tasted good quality.
