We ordered a Valentines day takeaway three course meal which we collected from The Sean, Ironbridge. Unfortunately when we got home we realised the dessert was missing from the order. I called through and spoke to Lizzie who apologised and said 'give me your address...I will deliver it to you'. This allowed us to continue eating our food and the dessert arrived perfectly time. Thank you Lizzie for going above and beyond. It was much appreciated. The food was also plentiful and delicious.More

Brisket and ribs both extremely (artificially) smokey. Disappointing. Been a couple times in the last two years and consistently poor - time to up your game!

The food here is amazing! Covid safety measures were in place throughout the pub and all staff wore masks. There is so much choice on the menu and very reasonably priced. We opted for the Swan BBQ sharing tray and it was probably enough for...4 people with a side order of onion rings and dirty fries. Staff were attentive and friendly without being invasive. My only regret is not asking how they made their chicken taste so good.More

Took advantage of a Groupon offer for Afternoon Tea with either Prosecco or Ale for two at £19. Not your traditional Afternoon Tea, but all the better for it with 3 different baguette sandwiches accompanied by BBQ Ribs & Chicken Wings (one each per person)...along with 2 slices of cheesecake, brownie and 2 scones with jam & cream. I had a pint of Wainwrights and my wife had the Prosecco. We couldn't finish it all and took the brownies away with us. Service was very good and we got lucky to find one of their few parking slots, but there's also a large car park virtually opposite. Give it a try.More

We booked a Groupon for afternoon tea for two. We were met by two very pleasant members of staff and shown to our table. We expected the normal arrangement of afternoon tea - dinky sandwiches and an arrangement of cakes and scones. We were presented...with delicious hot ribs and chicken wings, along with an assortment of fillings on baguettes, scones and cake. It was a surprise but very enjoyable and tasty. We could not eat everything presented, so brought some baguettes home for later! We would certainly go again.More

Met a friend for a couple of days here and arrived on a hot Sunday. Only young girls on duty and had to wait to check in which was not a problem. Eventually my room was checked to ensure the cleaners had left. The carpet...on the stairs was dirty and smelly and my room very basic. There was an old plaster wrapper on the grubby shelf above sink and no soap. Later there was no electricity for hot water, the kettle or TV. One of the young girls,Sophie tried her best. When electricity restored by the following morning the milk cartons were not replaced for the following day. I’m not knocking the food but the guest rooms and entrance need updating. I did complain to another young girl at the malthouse where we had to go for breakfast as no one on duty in the Taphouse. She just shrugged her shoulders. I had paid the full amount on arrival there was nothing I could do. The area is fantastic though but the wharfage is closed to cars at the weekend something we were not made aware of.More

We visited for lunch today. We had haddock and chips and classic hot dog. Food was fabulous. Piping hot, generous portions and real proper chips. Staff were friendly and helpful. What more can you ask? Would definitely visit again.

After eating here previously we were looking forward to our meal tonight, but unortunately it was shambles from start to finish. Upon being seated we ordered our drinks, and before they arrived we were approached by 3 different waitresses asking if our drinks order had...been taken. Once our drinks arrived, we started drinking them and had finished them by the time our food order was taken. Again we were approached by another waitress asking if our food order had been taken, and then the waitress who had actually taken it asked if we had ordered food yet. There was no communication with each other and they seemed to have little idea of what was happening. I will add though, they were all very friendly. Our steaks arrived, my husband ordered blue, and myself rare. His was far more cooked than mine was, not wanting to cause a fuss we just swapped steaks and started eating. The chips were absolutely lovely, as wrre the onion rings, but I've never had a steak of such poor quality, the knife struggled to get through it and it was so chewy. When asked if our food was OK during our meal we mentioned it was Overcooked and chewy, waitress said sorry about that ill let the kitchen know and nothing more was said. After finishing our meal (50%fat 50%chewy steak) we waited 15 minutes for our bill. We voiced our issues with the meals and were told that they were off to inform the manager, I assumed she would come over to chat to us about the problems but that never happened so we just paid and left. All in all just a very dissapointing visit and I'm in no rush to return any time soon.More
