I had heard good things about this restaurant and wanted a lockdown treat, so decided to order the takeaway menu. The instructions that came with the meal were easy to follow and the delivery, packaging and ordering process were all superb. As others have said...the meal was more like 5 courses and every single one was divine. The food was SENSATIONAL and amazing quality for a reasonable price. I'll definitely be ordering again and hope to visit the restaurant when things are back to normal. I have already recommended to several people. Thank you for a fabulous at home dining experience!More

We ordered the bokkusu by Skosh again and had the vegetarian meal for two with an extra side of my very favourite salt baked celeriac, leeks and furikake which we had in the restaurant in December and it tasted just the same at home. The...instructions were easy to follow and we loved the massaman curry. We hope to be eating in Skosh again soon but the home experience is the next best thing. Thank you Neil and the team.More

Wonderful to experience the taste explosion from Skosh once more, even if at home. We missed the ambience and conversation but loved the food, well done for making it so easy for us to finish preparing the dishes and keep all the flavours!

We had the vegetarian menu, as a takeaway treat and lockdown cheerer-upper. Everything arrived earlier in the day. It was clearly labelled and the instructions for heating and presentation were nice and clear. We had sourdough bread with Skosh's gunpowder salt and butter, miso broth...with little cubes of roast veggies - very umami. Then roast cauli with hispi cabbage in a creamy sauce, with wasabi and a herb oil. Then a bit of Finn cheese with ciabatta crackers. And finally a lovely pud of rhubarb with lime creme fraiche and some cardamon meringues. Everything was delicious. It almost felt like a night out.More

Since the first lockdown I have been getting “meal in a box” type take aways from various restaurants in York. These require a little guided preparation. I thought the Skosh box a little expensive but as I love the restaurant I decided to give a...go. What we got was more like 5 courses than 3. All were fabulous, easy to prepare and good quality. What’s more I am so pleased that the restaurant tried to minimise the use of plastic (York council to their shame do not recycle take-away plastics). Love you Skosh, keeping me sane and happy.More

Just had lunch. 6 of us. Incredible food and great service. Lovely welcome. I don’t need to bang about the food as previous reviews have said it all. Great ambience and amazing playlist plus the cleanest toilets on the planet.

Have been to Skosh a number of times and it never fails. Amazingly delicious and interesting modern food combinations and the small plate concept works really well. The only downside is trying to get a table because of how popular it is!

Early Friday lunch sitting before the restaurant filled up. Excellent red wine from Mendoza went well with my Brussels Manchurian. I followed this with a superb hanger steak. Pudding was a very nice orange cheesecake. Food and service was perfect. Do go.

Don't wait to red this - just go! For a range of small plates with riots of flavour, inventive combinations and impossible good balance, this one is hard to beat. Orices are very manageable considering the quality.
