Top quality fish and chips from the Take Away side .had Haddock chips and mushy peas Staff friendly and helpful, prices reasonably, lovely town Whitby eat them under the bandstand so the seagulls didn't get any

Absolutely 5* The only place we go to in Whitby for fish and chips. They have a varied menu but the fish and chips are amazing. Lovely staff too

First visit to the Magpie for me but highly reccomended by my husband and rightly so. A must if visiting Whitby even thought you are spoilt for choice! Its fish and chip heaven.

If there is a medieval torture of eating too much fabulous sea food , with chips and peas , then guilty . I should be ducked as witch too. Super service loverly staff. Fantastic for so many years.

Yes I can say that my wife and I thought that they were the best chips we had tasted for a very long time. And the grilled halibut was outstanding.

Yes we’ve been taking the grandchildren there since they were very young. Staff very helpful and they have chairs and for youngsters. The steps can be a bit awkward for pushchairs as people queue on them but someone usually... More
