It was a bitterly cold day and we had a delicious bowl of lovely warming pea and ham soup with a baguette (and butter) and a very well kept pint of Theakstones. Lovely views from the window too, A smashing place

Graet food. We were on a bit of a pub crawl and needed to refuel, got some top notch Bangers 'n' Mash and a very friendly welcome. Recommended.

Personally I would not go there. The food is not very good. Plenty of better places to eat.

Most of the pubs in Whitby seem dog friendly. In the Board the dining area is downstairs away from the main bar so shouldn't be an issue with dogs.

it does overlook the harbour to the other side but it's a very limited view ...as such, it's not an interesting view though at night when the other side is lit up, it is much nicer.
