We visit here regularly and are always impressed with the food. Generous portion sizes at good value. Staff cant do enough for you.
Slight issue was the temperature in the restaurant was a little cold.
17 quid for a steak that was tough and overcooked , the staff didnt even ask how we wanted it cooked , the garlic prawns looked like they came out of a bag of frozen prawns , wine they served the bottle would of been...opened for weeks - overpriced and rubbish- steak was verry poor with battered mushrooms and wedgesMore
Love visiting The Queens Head, the food is always a large portion for a reasonable price! Never a bad meal here. Staff are always friendly and smiley. We have visited a lot here since the end of full lockdown and have felt very safe here....Hand sanitizer around, QR code at the front door, they have an outdoor marquee, staff wear visors and they took our details to. Lots of spacing between the tables. Covid secure as possible.More
We found this restaurant through trip advisor as we were staying nearby for a few days. Rang and booked a table very easily.
The restaurant is well spaced, has a one way system and has worked had to ensure cleanliness and comfort.
The menu is...extensive and the portions are very generous. On our first visited ordered a sharing platter started which was delicious. Hubby then had pie and mash and I had the seafood salad. Both delicious. We enjoyed the experience so much we visited again the next evening.
Just mains this time and again excellent meals. Hubby had Ham egg and chips and I had catch of the day.
Both meals again delicious, reasonably priced, lovely friendly staff...social distancing observed.
Highly recommend this little gem.More
Great choice of menu and excellent pricing. Service was fast and efficient and staff were all wearing good quality PPE and sanitised tables after each group left a table. Staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Well worth a visit!
Went in to see if we could get a table but as they were busy couldn’t seat us till 8pm so had to eat elsewhere. Stayed for a drink, tried a local brew Lacons Encore, amber ale, very nice. Helpful staff, quick drinks service, nice...beer garden, good social distancing and CV19 measures in place.More
Just had a wonderful meal with 3 other friends at lunchtime .... it was all very well organised sanitisers spacing out etc and we had a lovely cool table in a marquee type area 👍
My salmon mornay was ab delicious 😋 it was a...very very generous portion with plenty of salmon prawns and sauce served with Exellent chips 🍟 and veg 👌
None of us had a dessert as no space .... but large pot of fresh coffee very good .
The service was exceptionally friendly too 👍More
Hello it is the Queens Head in Wymondham with the most delish halloumi burgers of all. Also the espresso martini are 10/10 every-single-time. Also the waiter had to come over to us about 5 times to ask if we wanted desert because we are the...annoying table who haven’t even looked at the menu yet (hahaha 💁🏽♀️💁🏼♂️) and he didn’t even look bothered and he was really friendly. Sticky toffee pudding was crackin’ xxxxxMore
Lunched in party of 3. Food super and service great. Salad bar had too many things to choose from we were spoilt for choice. The only place where I know there is a salad bar you help yourself. The bowls are a great sixe for...that.More
Having stayed in norfolk a lot lately, I often visit the small market towns to explore the pubs and restaurants here. This month I visited Hethersett. Its a small village with a couple of pubs. Whilst I enjoyed the food and atmosphere the building I...accidentally plonked my finger into a huge gob of chewing gum under the table. Gross.
Could not fault the food at all, and the waitress was very pleasant. Didnt feel like causing a scene at the time although im aware i should have done. Will be back againMore
