The food was lovely. We had lunch rather than an afternoon tea. The service was good. My only reservation was that we were sat at a table that had not been cleaned very well. When we mentioned this to the waitress she did come and...clean the table. I am more concerned that, considering the transmission of Covid, you would expect more attention to cleanliness before you sat customers at a table.More

We've just had a fairly small wedding at the Assembly House - ceremony in the music room with the beautiful grand piano, and lunch in the Hobart Room. From start to finish the process was so smooth and easy. All the planning with Naomi in...advance of the day was seamless - so well organised and considerate of our fussy food demands! On the day the team were fantastic - so considerate and helpful but unobtrusive, and the food was great. We can't recommend the Assembly House enough! We also stayed for a night in Room 6 which was heavenly - luxurious and a super comfy huge bed. And a great breakfast the next day. 10/10! We will definitely be back!More

We booked a breakfast on line having read such good reviews. When we entered we were shown to a large room and given the breakfast menu which we chose from and the breakfast was fine. My wife had booked and thought the room a little...underwhelming compared to the pictures on the website. When we paid it transpired that w e had been shown into the room for hotel guests and as we could give no room number had to pay 'a la carte' so 2 breakfasts £38.More

Went here with family for lunch and was very pleased - really lovely ambiance in the outdoor seating area and super friendly staff. The food is amazing and good for the price (although not the cheapest in the city) - would especially recommend the soup...and sandwiches. A brilliant place for a catch-up or a celebration.More

Their customer service is excellent and having accidentally left the chips off our order they didn't charge us and gave us complimentary tea.
