A friend and his wife had been for lunch and he had been very keen for us to go too, even encouraging us by giving us the book for Xmas (thanks S!). However, I could tell that he had downgraded his opinion somewhat when the...More

Palomar is tiny and you may have to wait to get in, but it's worth it! Every dish is sublime in this place. The chargrilled octopus is probably the best I have ever eaten and the bread and salads were delicious. Some really unusual dishes...More

the food is delicious and if money was endless i would eat here very regularly. Great atmosphere, we sat at the bar watching food being prepared which was fun. Obviously in large groups this probably is not ideal

Yes, absolutely! The Apollo is on Shaftesbury Avenue, and The Palomar is on a side street off of this - probably less than a 2-3 minute stroll. I'd recommend it, truly.
