We sat in the bar so we had full view to the food preparations and service. Staff is nice and friendly but we were expecting a higher quality. The food is good (the stone seabass is a win and the polenta dish is very tasty). Portions are ok for the concept but overpriced. Messy looking kitchen and it looks like... More

The restaurant much smaller than the pictures provided online. It is quite busy place with high guest turnover. The food was delicious and good choices of wine served. Despite quality of the food all food options; starters, main etc in small portions with high prices. The best option is ordering different food offers and share it with others however it... More

The food was outstanding. Couldn't fault out. Everything had amazing depth of flavour and was so interesting. My only qualm was that it is on the expensive side - £54 each and we only had 2 drinks each and no desserts, and we didn't even have as many dishes as they recommended. i think the issue is that the main... We recently had a pre theatre dinner here and managed to get a reservation (and therefore avoid the queue outside). The service was fantastic with very friendly staff, who were very informative. The food was fantastic and we ordered several dishes, all of which were excellent. A particular highlight was the Polenta Jerusalem Style. There were plenty more dishes on... More

We'd been wanting to visit The Palomar for some time. Despite sharing the dining room with Harry Styles (fancy that!) I left feeling a little disappointed... disappointed that the whole experience wasn't quite as good as I thought it might be. My observations: 1. There was too 'much' going on within the small space of the restaurant. A bit too... More

We arrived, a family of five, for dinner. The food is indeed very tasty, but, and there is a big fat but here: The portions are tiny. The funny thing is that the waiter informed us, at the beginning of the meal, that the food is intended to be shared by the table. The problem is that the portions were... More

Palomar, located on the south end of Rupert Street, right in the middle of Soho has recently received much attention and hype. My first visit about three weeks ago was driven by a newspaper review and a friends' referral. My second recent visit was driven by the amazing combination of flavours, the ambience and the service. Palomar has two seating... More

I had dinner with my daughter for her birthday at The Palomar and it was unforgettable. I routinely recommend this restaurant to anyone who will listen! It surpassed all my expectations and we couldn't bear to leave at the end of the evening.

The waiter inform us that the dishes were meant to share...kindly to say that you should take many portions if you are hungry. Unfortunately our budget was not so flexible. After spending nearly £60 for two of us at he lunch time, we were hungry. Quality of the food did not meet our expectations (after reading Tripadvisor). Not bad, but... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
