Reviews of this restaurant often use terms like "best ever," and I will do the same. Best ever tzatziki! Fatoush salad...best ever of its kind! And according to my dining companion, the scallops also a "best ever!" What a great place for dinner in the...More

Our 1st visit was in September and this was 4 weeks later. My wife and I were at a meeting in the West End and booked a place at the bar for 5.30pm when it opens. The place was full in 5 minutes. The service...More

Thought it was going to be good - wasn't expecting such superb service. Not stuffy service, genuine and friendly - Food was exceptional as were the cocktails.

For starters and mains we had: Kubaneh, Burnt Courgette Tzatziki, Yiddish Style Hand Chopped Chicken Liver Pate, Beef Tataki and the Shakshukit. Everything was really delicious but I would highlight the Shakshukit and the Four Lemons & A Poppy dessert, both absolutely memorable!!

This is a wonderful and chaotic little place in Rupert Street, off Shaftesbury Avenue. Chaotic because it is tiny, a long thin room taken up mostly by the bar and around 20 stools. At the back there are seven or eight tables for those who...More

Loved the variety of food and fun drinks, but especially loved sitting at the bar. Been there twice and both times the chefs, the manager, the host, and the bartenders (all at the bar) are extremely engaging. They chat up the food and drinks and...More

Went here for a lunch with a business acquaintance. We had booked a table in the back of the restaurant rather than at the bar (which looked like it might be good date night territory). The waitress was knowledgable about the dishes and enthusiastic about...More

A busy bustling restaurant where you can wait for weeks and weeks to book a table though sitting at the bar is an option. We were served by an excellent waitress who was not perturbed by the fact that we tasted four wines before deciding...More

Yes, absolutely! The Apollo is on Shaftesbury Avenue, and The Palomar is on a side street off of this - probably less than a 2-3 minute stroll. I'd recommend it, truly.

I remember it being casual, although we 'dressed' up a bit. However, we went for lunch. Might be best to check.
