First visit - and we went at lunch time and ate off the set menu. Which offers a wonderful selection of food but at a reasonable price compared to the full menu. The setting is wonderful in a brightly lit room, and the service is...More

Had the tasting menu with wine flight on a Saturday evening, have to say this was one of the best meals we’ve had. The red snapper was stunning. Everything was beautiful and would recommend the wine flight. An amazing experience The Art School deserves a...More

We visited on Friday evening expecting a wonderful meal but sadly it was not great. I had the wood pigeon starter which was very tough and difficult to cut but this was nothing compared to the main course. My husband and I both opted for...More

This impeccable restaurant with its discrete entrance occupies part of what was The Sheltering Hall for Destitute Children - so feel free to think Charles Dickens as you enter - but dismiss any notions of Oliver Twist's refectory experience as you are welcomed in. Paul...More

Wow ! Omg what a meal. We booked for Friday and you can tell why this is number one in Liverpool. It’s hidden away up a side street and this wetted our appetite a tad, the welcome was great and we were seated. We had...More

Each member of staff was faultless; incredibly polite, helpful and knowledgeable. Each course was creative, very well presented and most importantly very tasty. I particularly found the lamb salad w/ black pudding delicious. The wine list was extensive and not terribly expensive, which was a...More

Description
The Art School Restaurant is completely unique. We have tried to embrace the features of the original building and have blended in modern facilities. With warm lighting, a viewing window through to the kitchen, a relaxing bar and a fabulous dining area. Situated across the street from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and a short distance from both of Liverpool's cathedrals, the restaurant is the first of its kind in Liverpool City Centre. We will offer innovative, seasonal menus developed from the finest local produce our region has to offer, including an exclusive range of organic spirits, superb 200 bin wine list and a world class Champagne selection. Delivered by an international team of experienced chefs, waiters and sommeliers, the restaurant has a focus on mentoring young, local talent and apprentices. Starting from £25.00 for 2 courses, our menus are aspirational, modern and contemporary. We aim to be affordable and inviting for all to enjoy.
