I must admit we don’t normally come to this end of town, so it was the volume of tables outside that attracted us to this place for breakfast this morning. Three of us had breakfast and it cost £14! That included three hot drinks, a...juice, a savoury pastry, a sweet pastry and a full English breakfast. The staff are super friendly. This is a no-frills Portuguese café run by what seems to be a family. The service was amazingly quick. The selection of sweet treats inside is nothing short of impressive and everything is home-made! Definitely worth a try- we will be back!More

This place is fantastic. It’s got the feel of a genuine no-frills cafe in Portugal, and the food is great. Had lunch here for the first time today, trying the francesinha (mixed meat sandwich smothered with melted cheese, topped with a fried egg, and with...a beer-based gravy poured over the top - classic Portuguese comfort food!), salt cod croquettes and a couple of desserts including the pudim (Portuguese creme caramel). All really well made, good portion size, excellent value. Coffee was really good too. We’ve had the egg custard tarts on a couple of previous visits and they are fantastic. A real gem of a restaurant in Plymouth!More

Almost every day in 2019 I would go to this authentic cafe. With the spirit of Lisbon (Portugal) to exquisite hosts, this cafe meant so much to the culture of another country. Personally, I think the Lisbon Cafe is a place for everyone. The cafe...is owed to be a grateful family of four. Each of them is welcoming and joyful people. Soon or later I think you should go to this glamorous restaurant..!! This cafe is as pretty as a picture...-Imogen M I definitely recommend going there!!More

A family-run Portuguese cafe and restaurant near the Pannier Market in Plymouth, with a range of pastries baked on the premises daily. Plenty of choices, nice atmosphere, excellent value.

We parked for the sales in the big multistorey near Frankfort Gate and fancied a coffee before shopping. We saw this bistro restaurant was open, so popped in. The food on display at the counter looked delicious, so we settled on ordering breakfast too. The...main full english was excellent value at £4.50 but we decided to both have eggs on toast, coffee and fresh orange juice. It was excellent value for quality produce and with friendly efficient service and really set us up for a day of shopping. We will return! Highly recommended.More

Food very tasty and authentic - my husband loves the Pregos and the Pastel de Natas are to die for. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Has that lovely, buzzy European feel.

Booked here for three of us before seeing the Bootleg Beatles at the Pavilions. The food was delicious and the service was so good. We had the salt cod fish pie, which was just about the best I have tasted, Steak with a lovely sauce...and chicken with garlic sauce. We enjoyed our food so much we are coming back in a week or so to celebrate my mum-in-law's birthday. We rounded off our meal with a bottle of the house Vinho Verde and took away some delicious custard tarts. Can't wait to return!More
