From the doorstep, you are welcomed by courteous staff on the way to your table. They tend to your every need and are on standby whenever you need something. They always use courtesy gestures and words. I accidentally spilled a bit of soup on the table and they responded immediately.
Atmosphere was peaceful. The house was not jampacked as I thought it would be (perhaps because of the pandemic ongoing). The setting looks like a hybrid between an ancestral Spanish house and a modern cottage restaurant (at least, that is what I think).
Food is above average. The only disappointment was the roasted squid which tasted like it was marinated in pure salt, it was inedible. However, the selection of food makes up for it so it is not a big deal as there are a lot of other things to try. Definitely would be coming back.

The food was excellent, as you can tell from the way Chef Laudico presented and prepared it all with fresh, local ingredients. It was extremely original to take on sushi by topping it with some of our regional cuisine. Try Guevarra's by Chef Laudico in San Juan for a superb Filipino food buffet. It costs only PHP759 (around AUD21.00), making it the best buffet I've ever been to by a wide margin. What matters to me is the quality of the food the restaurant will serve, not how much is on the table. I can unquestionably guarantee that the restaurant serves up high-quality food on the table for all Balikbayans and even visitors from other countries.
It is extremely affordable for everyone. Staff was all accommodating thanks again

Very cool buffet restaurant. The selection of food has been well thought of and is excellently flavourful. From starters to desserts, it exemplifies the best of Filipino cuisine.
It is a good thing that dishes are served instead of self serve as the food doesn’t get spoiled.
Loved love loved your lechon and also karekare.
The price is also very reasonable.

The most disappointing food delivery service I have encountered so far. I made 2 1030am orders for my mother and for my sister as it was Mother’s Day. One order was delayed by 2.5 hrs. The 2nd order was never delivered. This was also for ordered weeks before delivery date and we immediately paid without any delay.
I usually ignore any minor mishaps or delays. This time, I could not since it is hot food delivery, which was delayed by a minimum of 2 hrs, no updates, and most importantly, it was the one for my mother that was not delivered.
There was no notification nor any update. When we messaged them in Viber, it was a canned message that they will check and did not even bother to get back to use for any update.
If there is any delay, a courtesy update should be done. There was also no apologies for the non-delivery for the order that was never delivered to my mother.

It is a controlled buffet. The food is just average, and the staff is not polite nor welcoming. The food servers are always chatting with each other. This is my experience. I went there last June 24, 2022.
Staff needs to be re-trained for poor hospitality skills.

The restaurant should focus on how the receptionist and Dining supervisor”s rude attitude towards their guest. Visited today 26 May 2022. And believed me, instead of greeting, ini interrogate nila kami . Maulan so they should be more empathetic. hello supervisor “Macky” and ate girl in the reception. Thanks but no thanks for the horrible experience.
Nagbabayad po mga guest, hindi po yan feeding program. Nagbabayad po kami, the least you can do is treat us nicely.

It was a real treat, all of us enjoyed the delicious buffet lunch. My companions said it is worth the price and even more. They said they enjoyed everything. For me I feel I am eating good, clean and safe food. The buffet table is far from the dining area and they are strict in wearing proper mask.

Had lunch with the whole family last Sunday. That was our 4th time in Guevarra's and it never disappoints us! We just missed having the ice cream though. Their ice cream machine was broken last Sunday. =( We also miss the waffles they make on site... They did not do that last Sunday. In any case, everything was great!!

We went to try the late afternoon lunch buffet last Sunday. Our experience was not great but not bad either.
Food selection was surprisingly many, there was some hit and miss. Some dishes were on the sweeter side. Even the well known Angus Beef Tapa, even eating it with vinegar could not mellow the sweetness. Some dishes were just too sweet for our liking. Quality of food matches what you pay for. We even appreciate the staff behind the buffet serving the customers. That promotes less waste. In the end our favorite was the Sotanghon soup as simple the dish was, it was good.
Texture and tenderness of most of the meat dishes were spot on.
It was our first time to dine at the restaurant, we were pleased that location was easy to find. The drive, being it Sunday was pleasant and waze even provided 3 routes for us. Coming from Pasay was a breeze. True their word, parking was available. However spaces was little cramp for bigger vehicles like ours.
We appreciated the look of the place, amused how they have preserved the exterior and interior of their ancestral home. If you are an enthusiast of Ancestral homes and places, you will appreciate it. Personally, we just found the plates on the walls hanging tacky. It would have been nicer if they put more of their ancestral photos. But none the less, it still managed to showcase the history of the place and family.
The only negative thing we can say about our dining experience is the none existent system in the buffet area. The space as is, was so limited. We appreciate the implementation of wearing a mask inside of the buffet area, trust us you would choose to wear one. If you decide to dine, manage your expectations. You will have plates poking your back, I even hit an elderly woman on the head while holding my plate up. Getting your food and getting out of the area was sure a challenge. You could end up having your plate of food land on someone’s head. Let’s just say, it was pure chaos. So, if you decide to dine, be prepared to compete.
The dining area, was a bit cramp too. After literally going through “Hunger Games” vibe in the buffet area, somehow it discourage you to go back for more. And the limited spacing at the dining area did not help. What we did, was just wait for the other diners to calm down and start eating. On the other side of things, if you do manage to get out of the buffet area alive and plate of food intact. You will see the staff very attentive to your needs. They were visible at the dining floor, ever ready to clear your used plates and glasses. Thank you staff!
Speaking of glasses, if you are diabetic or not a fan of sweet drinks. Stay away from the juices, it only taste sugar syrup. But if you do like sweeth drinks, by all means indulge.
Overall, if we do decide to go back we will probably only eat the dishes we liked.
The restaurant, as we saw is popular because you do get what you pay for.

It's a shame that they are still asking their customers to wear mask. It was not a pleasant and comfortable place to spend your birthday with family. I wouldn't recommend this place. Where is the virus by the way?

This Place is worth your money! It it quite expensive, but you won’t get a usual buffet-food you usually experience. Their food are excellent and their designated-dish workers are approachable and attentive with the visitor’s requests. The traffic discipline and parking space is also good and all vehicles can have their parking spot. I think the only flaw is that some of the visitors have no discipline when following the line while getting your food. Some of them were pushing the plates on our hand and telling us to move forward already even if the food-area was crowded and everyone was told to fall in line. I suggest that we implement more food-area rules, besides having our face masks on all the time. Besides that, overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

There so much food and its inexpensive but you must make a reservation.There were way more choices than what the stomach could accommodate. Imagine having to choose from 6 main stations such as APPETIZERS, MAIN COURSE (Of these, the Angus beef tapa and kare-kare with annatto rice topped my favorites) CARVING STATION, HOT & GRILLED, DESSERTS and BEVERAGES.

This is to acknowledge with thanks Chef Laudico- Guevarras dining staff and its Customer Relations Officer Ms. Kristine for attending to our urgent concern today June 28, 2022.
On June 27, 2022, my family and I had an early dinner at the said restaurant, we enjoyed the sumptuous buffet which Chef Laudico is known for. We had lechon, kare kare, beef kaldereta, angus tapa, garlic chicken, sisig, lumpiang ubod, fish fillet, noodles, different kinds of bread, pumpkin soup and a lot more delicious dishes. We went home very satisfied not only with the well-prepared food but also with the excellent service from reservation until we finished our meal.
We thought that's it, but No, Chef Laudico extended its quality service when my cousin Precy lost her gold necklace with a diamond pendant during our dinner. She found out about her missing necklace when she reached home. By the way, Precy is a balikbayan from Japan who frequents our country to savour our local cuisine together with us, her family, and loved ones. Precy called us and told us about her missing necklace which she said she probably lost in the restaurant. Hence, we called and texted Chef Laudico thru its kind officer Ms. Kristine and reported the matter and requested them to look if anyone could have found the aforementioned necklace. Today, a few hours after we reported the missing item, Ms. Kristine gladly told us that their Dining Supervisor found the necklace in the Buffet area and Precy can get her necklace anytime within the day from its Lost and Found Unit.
Wow, isn't that a heartwarming ending to this story? That good and honest people are still in our midst. In this light, we thank the management and staff of Chef Laudico- Guevarras, for these kind deeds. Be rest assured that we shall spread the word, that Chef Laudico, the best food provider, quality and price-wise, and that it cares for its customers.

Guevarra's quality buffet spread continues to shine after several years in the business. Seldom can I find a buffet restaurant that delights me each and every time I get a chance to dine there. Guevarra's is one of those rare restaurants. No wonder it continues to be packed with diners each time I go for dinner. Service is topnotch, and food quality is definitely up there with the best.
