We tried the various Ramen offerings and gyoza - it was very good! At first look, the serving seems small (so we ordered an extra bowl) but it is actually filling! We can't finish our second bowl. There were only four parking slots in front of the restaurant, and we had to wait a bit since the place was full - unusual for a weekday, according to the security guard. There was no waiting area so we had to wait outside. Luckily, the weather was quite cool. The servers are friendly, ambiance is good, food is also good with a reasonable price. So I would rank the overall experience to be from good to very good.

broths of all ramen were rich. tried the tonkotsu tantan, truffle, black garlic, black pepper and the standard kara miso with varying degree of spice level. the semi hardboiled egg needs to be sliced to allow the hot broth to warm up the yolk. we didnt try any of the iekei or the basil. my tonkotsu tantan broth for this meal i had applied for the cheesy risotto. the risotto looked a lot fewer than before. risotto was fast, unlike the ramens that almost 30 minutes from order to service. there were only 2 other tables that were occupied when we arrived, a total of 6 guests so it shouldnt be the reason for the delay. cheesy risotto on the tantan broth was great, unlike before when i had the risotto on the black garlic broth.

I am surprised by the ambiance and the delicious taste of the ramen. The location is a little bit far away from makati but it is worth to travel to taste the ramen. Strongly suggest Iekei if you like tonkotsu taste ramen. They also have very light and healthy cold soba with udon style noodle, best for vegetarian.

Location and Parking: P. Guevarra coming from Wilson Street, Oyasumi will be at the left side. Parking can be challenging as there are only 4 to 5 slots at the store front. The streets can be packed with cars and maneuvering along them will be difficult. Ramen: Not sure how this Ramen joint fares as we only tried their Iekei variant. This one that we had had the worst unflavored broth with no umami factor. The spinach made a bitter addition to it. We did not finish our dish. Service : Service is good as their staff are attentive. The place have 2 floors and the counter is at the ground. The security guard was helpful in parking and unparking our vehicle. We are not coming back to this joint.

Gloomy, rainy, dark days always have me craving for one thing: a nice, hot, savory bowl of Ramen. Yesterday was one of those days. It has been raining non-stop since last week, and apparently, the release date of Pokemon Go had the worst timing. In our area there are no Pokestops, so I have to depend on walking, which I can't do because of the rain. Anyways, going back to our main topic, I complained noisily to my trainer about wanting to eat Ramen. A lightbulb probably appeared on top of his head as he told me that he recently ate at a really good Ramen House in San Juan. That restaurant is Oyasumi Ramen. So, after training, I informed my grandparents about this restaurant and I found out that I wasn't the only one who was craving for Ramen. So we decided on going later that day. Fastforward, we arrived at Oyasumi Ramen, the place seemed welcoming but there was one problem. Lack of parking space, my grandfather had to park somewhere else as we waited inside the restaurant. When you first enter, they have the typical ramen bar area where you can see the chefs preparing the food. We had to stay there for awhile since all the tables had been occupied so we ordered in advance. Me and my grandfather went for the Iekei ramen which consisted of perfectly-cooked noodles with chashu slices in their signature tonkotsu-shoyu tare broth with spinach, leeks and 3 sheets of nori. We had the chashu changed to thick-cut since it was just an added 80 pesos. The original price was 350, since we added 80 it became 430 pesos. I also ordered the Gyoza, because, just because. It didn't take long before we were seated, the tables were in their second floor and if I recall, there were only 4 tables. Their serving time was quite fast and the warm bowls of ramen were set in front of us. Everyone else dug in but I took 3 minutes to take pictures. Iekei Ramen and Gyoza I took a sip from the soup and the flavors were very rich, it satisfied my very soul with each sip. I then tasted the noodles, at first, they seemed bland, but after mixing it around in the bowl with the soup it started to taste better. What really amazed me was the Gyoza. It was divine, the best of all the others I had. It was tender and the taste was something I would never get bored of. I ate four and shared one with my grandmother. Luckily, it was cheat day so no regrets. I tried eating as slow as possible to enjoy the taste, but somehow, I finished before everyone else. I wasn't even able to try the Cheesy Risotto because I was so full. That's pretty much it, I'll try a different kind of ramen the next time I go back. From outside, the place looks very inviting, with dark walls and only table lights and signage illuminating it. They have a limited variety of ramen, and a local variation - La Paz. We tried the ramen - Kara Miso and Black Pepper, gyoza and Nega Chasu Don. All were tasty but enjoyed the Nega Chasu Don and gyoza most. The ramen had a good amount of broth, and you can order extra noodles to complement it. I thought it was a better idea than to use the broth for risotto after. When we had our leftover broth cooked into a risotto,we were full already, and had to take it out.Thereafter, forgot about it in the ref, and it didn't taste as good as it was anymore.

If you wanna try several dishes, I suggest you share a ramen - it's so filling! I had the La Paz ramen, it was the cross between a local La Paz batchoy and good ol' comforting ramen. Good job guys! As much as I wanted to try other stuff, my stomach can only handle one big bowl of their ramen.

The place was a bit small. And honestly quite easy to miss when you're just passing by. The food however, should not be missed. I ordered the black pepper ramen which was good. Meat was soft as butter. Noodles not too thick or thin. Would go again.

Hi Julie! Thanks for dropping us a review. :) We're working on our signage so people can easily find us. But yes, we like to keep things mean and lean, like other home-grown ramen shops. :) Cheers and see you again!

One should check out this ramen place in san juan. Their noodles are hand made and come with different flavors. My favorite is the kara miso ramen, their spicy ramen. You can choose the level of spiciness from level 1-3. For first timers, try level 1 first. Gyoza is also not bad and they serve hot & cold japanese tea for free.
