I visited the Greenhouse Cafe in Nabiac NSW today for lunch. I bought 2 juices, two coffees, two chicken schnitzel burgers, a BLAT and a corn fritters. The total came to $93!! I wouldn’t minded paying that much if the food was good but it...was very ordinary. The coffee was so weak it tasted like instant coffee. The bacon on the BLAT and burgers was cold and not crispy at all. The juices tasted watery. I have written in reviews to TripAdvisor many times but only one other negative review. I make the trip from Sydney to Coffs Harbour often and usually stop at Buladelah. Nabiac is a lovely little town but the food at the Greenhouse is not up to standard.More

Nice coffee, and tasty breakfast Love the place and food. The cafe is beautiful and they do follow Ed their slogan “Love is in this Kitchen”

I've been stopping here for the coffee for over four years now. This past year I've noticed a rather surly attitude from the barista, a blonde of ample proportions female, not the skinny blonde female (there were two of them), as if she's doing everyone...a favor by her sheer presence. No eye contact, no smile. The other thing that is annoying is the continuous degradation of the toilets. They had a sign for a whole year that the toilets would be upgraded early in the new year. Now they are really disgusting and everything is falling apart. When people are on the road they need a decent toilet. Failing that they will go to another town.More

Thank you for calling in for the past four years. We are always appreciative of your support. I am concerned about this review as we do not have a barista like the one you have described. We actually have 4 baristas and none are “blonde...More

Sensational breakfast, great coffee, delicious freshly squeezed juices. Lovely out door courtyard and lots of care taken with food presentation. Something on the menu for all the family. Trout bagel was first class!

Driving from Sydney to Coffs, stopped off for lunch. Sat out in the courtyard and it had a lovely atmosphere. Pistachio Dukka Salmon was fresh and tasty. Chicken Sniz Burger was also very impressive. So many delicious GF options to choose from. Staff we friendly...and welcoming.More

We were driving Sydney to Port MacQuarie but like to visit places we've never seen. We left the highway to visit Nabiac. A small town indeed with a 'bike museum' and a general store. The town was very busy. We had brunch in the Greenhouse...Cafe after the coffee queue cleared. Great food, lovely polite service and rustic surroundings in the cafe. Well worth the detour.More

We only stop there because there is very little else between Coffs and Raymond Terrace. I have tried the coffee every which way! Usually it is too weak and milky. This morning I had long black with hot milk on the side. Bad idea! The...coffee tasted burnt. The scrambled eggs were dreadful. The toast was sitting in milk which had oozed out of the eggs. They were a weird consistency. The bacon was delicious and beautifully cooked. Thank goodness. I was starving! It is back to picnics in future.More

The title for this post of course is from the old Michelin Guides in Europe. The food has always been interesting excellent, ample for lunch when you're on a journey, interesting dishes and well made. The coffee's the same quality. Service is pleasant and recognises...that while many clients have a journey to continue, a break is always a good idea - in other words, prompt but unrushed.More
