First time in the Cayman's an d Tukka was recommended by both the owner of the condo we were renting and several other people who visit regularly. We made reserkoi, service and overall experience at Tukka was so wonderful. We arrived early and were seated at a lovely table on the deck overlooking the ocean - it turned out to be the optimal place to see the frigate bird feedings at 5 pm. All of the staff t , including lobster and shrimp spring rolls ("best they've ever had" from the people in our party that had them), Cayman lemonade, Sunset punch and Caesar salad. All of it was delicious and beautifully prepared and presented. Our main courses included 1/2 pd. lobster tails, Tukka brochette and filet mignon, all of it spot on in terms of taste, temperature and presentation. We finished with desserts including a wonderfully fresh frozen key lime dessert, rum cake and assorted creme brulee, all of which were incredible. Owner and Executive Chef Ron came to our table twice to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and to keep us appraised of when to expect the rising moon to start. They also had a wonderful little jazz/easy listening band playing in one corner of the expansive deck which added further ambiance to the evening. We were so impressed, we came back at the end of the week for the last meal of our vacation. This time, we included the spare rib in mango guava bbq sauce as an appetizer, and the fresh catch of the day (Wahoo) as an entree - once again, everything was delicious and service was excellent, despite it being both a Friday night and Valentines Day. And, once again, Ron came out and talked to us personally, not only making sure we were happy, but also taking the time to answer some questions about his other two restaurants, Taco Cantina and Eagles Ray Dive Bar and Grill, and to tell us a bit about the parrot sanctuary that he and his wife have created in the east end. A very personable and entrepreneurial guy and a pleasure to talk to. We'll be making Tukka a regular stop on future vacations to Grand Cayman, as well as trying out his other two nearby restaurants. Everything was superb and well worth the price paid.

When there at 3:00 for Happy Hour. Location Beer was $3.50 they had a selection of drinks about $7.50. Had the single serving appetizers. Lobster Spring Roll was amazing. The coconuts Shrimp was good, the grilled Brie and cranberry’s was ok. The Crocodile Conch fritter was not something I would order again mushy not a good flavor. The staff are very nice.

We actually stopped here for the 5pm feeding of the Frigate-birds. After checking out the menu and setting, we decided to stay for dinner. We were glad we did ! Seating in the deck overlooking the ocean on a beautiful evening was superb. We shared a couple of Tapas for apps (the coconut shrimp was the best). The lobster bisque was more of a broth / tomato base than a cream base, so I didn’t care for it that much. The the grilled shrimp and onion rings was awesome. The catch of the day was red snapper and was as good as any 5 star restaurant. The fish and chips were made locally and also good. They were able to prepare a very good meal for a food allergy and did a good job of making sure there was no cross contamination. The indoor areas look fun with model cars, decor, and a huge selection of rum. It’s out of the way if you are staying on the west side of the island, but I think it’s worth a drive to check it out. For sure, be there for the bird and shark feeding which is a great way to get rid of all the fish heads and other parts.

This location came to us highly recommended. Perhaps it was a bad night but we were a party of two and there were several other large groups so we had terrible service. Our food took forever, our salad was forgotten, fish was overcooked and our server was neglectful at best. Better meal had at Eagle Rays the next evening. Can honestly say we never need to go back.

We saved this for out last night on the island. I guess commercialism has caught up with this island staple .Our waiter talked so fast we had to ask him several times for clarification on the menu and our order, which was very simple. Service was terrible and felt like a fast food experience. soup came out before our drinks which followed many minutes later. then we sat for at least a 1/2 hour. We simply had ordered the fish of the day. He kept coming back and asking us if we were hungry.. Not really any more . Food arrived... cold and fish overcooked. It obviously had been sitting under the heat lamp for awhile. Waiter never checked in again I understand busy popular spots. We never are in a hurry. Love the East End for it's layed back vibe. But the waiter never checked in. Just didn't feel like ruining the rest of the night complaining. The night was beautiful, Just wish we didn't feel like we were at a franchise U.S restaurant. If you want great great food on the East End. Go to the small family owned spots where the food is fresh, the owners are involved and you are supporting the local community. Love the East End. Never again will we make the mistake of Tukka. Owners take note. Slow down and show your patrons the island love

Very disappointed. We had to flag down a waiter each time we needed attention. I had their rum punch but it was tasteless with not a hint of the golden rum. We tried the lobster spring rolls and did not taste lobster either. Our son ordered the fish and chips and the batter was so overwhelming he couldn’t taste the ‘supposedly’ fresh fish. The fries were ordinary. Notice a pattern. My husband and I had the lobster and chicken pasta. It had lots of chicken bites in a thick rose sauce. It was good but too expensive for what you got and of course rare sightings of lobster. Would not recommend and will not go again.

We made reservations for Full Moon Dinner, arrived to mass confusion and a long line. We sat by the bar and had drinks while we waited for our table. When the table was finally ready the last server was rude and rushed us while we were trying to pay for our drinks at the bar.....yep! Our waiter Robert? was very nice and tried very hard amongst the craziness. It seems they were short staffed and maybe over over booked. Our appetizers arrived on time. Conch chowder was really good, lobster and shrimp rolls only had veggies, absolutely no lobster or shrimp. They tasted as though there were from a box. Conch friters were just ok. Our main courses were delayed so were were given a small caprese, while we were waiting. When our entres arrived, my Husbands filet mignon was good but his risotto was rancid and not edible. My lobster tails were good and veggies were fresh and delicious. This was our first time to Tukka and clearly it was one on their busiest nights. We will give them another chance on a less busier night, only because our waiter tried so hard and saved our night with apologies and charm.

We went to Tukka for the Sunday brunch buffet. The selection was great. They were cooking shrimp, pork and chicken on the grill, they had a number of salads, fish, beef on the carving station, potatoes, rice, veggies, and some traditional breakfast items. The desserts were wonderful! I would definitely recommend this place.

Our family of five ate here and had a nice evening. It was a really wonderful view with a table overlooking the water. Just after we arrived someone came out from the kitchen and tossed lots of scraps into the water. Not long after that a shark showed up which was interesting to watch, but I’m not a fan of feeding wildlife. Several times we had to ask for drink refills. Our food was just okay. Nothing special. People seem to love the place so we could have just caught a bad night. But I wouldn’t drive over from Kaibo again if I had it to do over.

Return visit today after 4 years and still a great occasion. Recommend the 3pm to 6 pm happy hour with Tapas and about 5pm every day dozens of Frigate birds arrive to be fed by hand. Enormous selection of Rum.

We stopped by Tukka for lunch and all enjoyed our food. Fish was fresh, the menu has an interesting selection, and the restaurant is right on the water with great views. They do offer a gluten free menu and I had a hard time deciding what to get. I chose the grilled mahi-mahi salad minus couscous and they brought me a dish of delicious coconut basmati rice on the side instead. The fish was super-fresh, cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. We also got some ceviche to share. It was a non-traditional ceviche with excellent flavor. Overall I'd highly recommend Tukka for waterfront dining and tasty food.

We always go to Tukka when in the Caymans. The food is great and the staff is friendly and make sure you have a great meal. The view from the patio or beachfront is great. Be sure to make a reservation as they get very busy for the evening. You can even feed the birds or fish while you are there

The beauty of the ocean is stunning and can be viewed right from where you’re seated while eating. The colors are best in the afternoon when it’s sunny. The food is delicious with an Australian twist. All of the staff was attentive but our favorite is Omar. We were there around 5:00 when they feed the Frigate Birds and Tarpon, fish scraps, which was pretty amazing.

We enjoyed three meals in one week at TUKKA. The service was first rate, friendly and attentive (Bobby C from Ireland, especially) Delicious cocktails, great variety of island cocktails, beer and wine. Food was fresh, succulent, displayed nicely and perfectly seasoned. Arrive before 5 to enjoy the frigate feedings and sharks swimming off shore. TUKKA is on the quieter east end of the island and a must visit while in the beautiful Cayman Islands.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Amazing views of the ocean, binoculars provided to view the Wreck of the Ten Sails, frigate bird feeding and a visit from the sharks. All of those are worth a trip to Tukka before you even consider the food! We visited twice during our weeks stay and Bobby took excellent care of us each time. We found the best way to get the most out of your visit is to arrive during happy hour and have a some appies and drinks, head to the beach for the frigate feeding with drink in hand, and then return to the table to order dinner. It's the East End, Relax and Enjoy!
