Nice people, very good service and simply the best breakfast we have had on the North Island. We had eggs benedict and musly with youghurt and berries. We can highly recommend this little lokal cafe.

Dined at this cafe... best burgers, home baked cakes and slices, awesome coffee and amazingly friendly and professional staff.... outside and inside dining. Spotlessly clean and great value. Highly recommended

State Highway One in New Zealand runs north and south between Wellington and Auckland; at least the part of it I am referring to. So, as you can imagine there are plenty of places for coffee and food along the way. To stand out you have to be pretty good; and Papa Cliffs is. I stopped here twice in the... More

We took a drive down the old Mangaweka main street as we had been to a café there some years ago, but there is no longer anything in the main street. Papa Cliffs looks like a typical New Zealand road-side café, nothing flash. But it was the only choice (other than the DC3 airplane café next door), so we took... More

Stopped here by chance. Gorgeous home baked cakes, slices, wraps etc . Totally recommend. Good coffee and very friendly staff. They were also selling fresh asparagus from a local farmer which was beautiful.

They have very tasty burgers of various types including venison and vegetarian ones ! Their coffee is really amazing. To top it up you can buy some local fresh asparagus too... They have inside... The best food, staff, atmosphere and price. We stopped off here for a quick bite ended up staying for about an hour chatting to the owner a very nice lady. It was a great laugh with exceptional food, superb coffee, coffee to die for really made to perfection by a very lovely young lady. Whole experience was fantastic, will be... More

I stopped at Papa Cliff Cafe mostly because they were advertising that they sold asparagus and my local asparagus seller had closed 2 days earlier meaning I hadn't been able to stock up for Christmas. I also hoped to find something nice to buy for lunch and get a takeaway coffee to fuel the next few hours of my journey.... More
