Very quick polite service. Great food and coffee. Welcoming staff on a cold wet windy morning. Would have liked to try the ice-creams had the weather been warmer.

Fine for a cup of tea and bacon butties but no fried eggs on offer and we don't eat red meat. Also you have to sit outside with your dog.

Situation on the seafront in Newbiggin, Bertorellis is an institution. Had lattes and toasted sandwiches whilst sitting outside watching the world go by. Loved it – and definitely worth a return visit.

Very pleasant watering hole adjacent to the beach. Stunning location and attentive service. Just ordered snacks and children's meals but absolutely no complaints about the menu or food quality. Clean and friendly, COVID precautions excellent. Our table was cleared very quickly from the previous diners...and cleaned thoroughly. Waiting staff polite and efficient. Would definitely recommend and will return.More

I sat down with my coffee and ice cream and waited on my wife's Banana Split. Unfortunately it took an age to arrive. Pity as she said it was very good.

It's been a while since I've had that response; Nothing gluten free. Does all their ice cream really contain wheat? Or is it just a 'can't be bothered checking' response. Either way, won't be going there again - what world be the point! Come on,...join the 21st century.More

We were staying in Newbiggin for 3 days and visited twice for ice creams. The place was busy outside and in both times we visited but as we were ordering ice creams to take away it didn’t bother us. A busy coffee shop is always...a good sign for us. Ice creams were amazing, especially the cherry flavour. Highly recommend!More

Lovely little place for lunch. It was a bit of a challenge to get a table for 5 but we managed on the sofas. A range of different foods were ordered - toasties, sausage sandwiches, Cornish pasty, hot cheese scones. The food was really good,...everyone was happy with their choices. We then stayed for ice cream. The lime flavour is stunning and not what we were expecting - it’s really mild but flavourful. There was a good range of soft drinks available and plenty of choices for hot drinks too. We would go back. They preferred cash but can take card payments, but it is a bit slow.More
