Everything we ordered was delicious! I loved their paella Valenciana and the Lengua. They also have live music in the evening. It's a pretty small cozy space with great food.

We had late lunch at around 3:15pm today. Because most of the restaurants around the San Juan area were already on break and reopening for dinner, we chanced upon Calderon which was fortunately still serving lunch. It's a quaint hole in the wall with an impressive menu so we kept our fingers crossed while waiting for our orders to arrive. Well, this tiny gem of a restaurant didn't disappoint! Dishes are quite pricey but so well worth it! We especially loved their Cordero Adobado, Lengua con Setas and Macadamia Sans Rival. The Sisig Chorizo and Calamares Fritos were also good but not spectacular. We can't wait to go back and try more dishes on their menu next time. Kudos to the chef! 👍🏼👍🏼

This restaurant offers Spanish dishes in a locality that does not have a good Spanish restaurant. As such, it could be a great place for the residents nearby, who belong to the upper middle and upper economic classes of Metro Manila.
During our visit, we found some dishes quite good and others that need a lot of improvement. The paella is not bad. The lengua is quite good. The beef is very tough. The other dishes are not particularly special in terms of taste and presentation.
There is room for improvement and we would like to see this new restaurant raise its standards higher because it does have a potential given its location.
We hope to return to Calderon and be surprised with the improvements on the taste and presentation of the dishes they are offering.

Authentic Spanish in an intimate setting. Calderon surprised us with the quality of their dishes. I found their paella valencia and negra to be amongst the best I had in the country. Their staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. The space is small and intimate.

There's only 1 parking slot in front of the small resto.
Affordable for authentic spanish cuisine
If you choose the second floor, calling on the waiters for add ons & other requests can be challenging.
Staff are attentive but bring a bit of patience to wait for your food.

Service is trash, they dont give a damn about the customers they are just a bunch of servers roaming around like robot with robotic spiels. I wonder if they're getting paid righteously.

Food was just ok. We ordered black ink paella, gambas, callos, beef salpicao and bacalao. Service was slow because there is only one waiter serving the first and second floor. Overall, just ok Spanish food. Nothing spectacular.

After trying Paella in Spain, our tastebuds were elevated to a higher level of paella taste. Paella in Manila was jst not the same.
Bt aftr eating paella here, memories of Spain came flying back. Oh what a wonderful moment!
A must try if u love paella. Be ready to spend a lil more though :)

The Food here is so-so. The problem though , before eating here , is the parking. There is NO parking here. aside from the one infront of the 8 foot entrance.
You either take your chance illegally parking on the side of the road. But since it is a residential area. The parking would usually be occupied.
The waiters too are worthless. They do not bother to help their customers . THey dont have security guard to assist you .
Food is ok. but parking is abhorrent

Intimate, unpretentious setting. Warm attentive service. Among the dishes that stand out are the paella negra, the caldo gallego and the ensalada de marisco. Ate twice in two consecutive visits to Manila, and will dine there again the next time I am in town. Recommendable.

In a sea of Oriental restaurants, Calderon is our family's go-to place for Spanish food.
Their chorizo, gambas, jamon, lengua, and paella are superb. Service is quick and the servings are just right. Paired with good wine, beer, or sangria, AND FAMILY and GOOD FRIENDS this place will always be on the list.
