My wife and I and our driver had lunch at this restaurant in November 2018. Our driver recommended the restaurant. It is a little restaurant and coffee shop. The menu had something for almost anyone. our driver had the lomi noodles, I had the cobb salad, and my wife had a fish lunch. Then i had some of their homemade ice cream. Masarap. The restaurant has interesting photos and decorations on the walls, counters, tables, and everywhere. It appeared very clean and the staff was kind and courteous. Prices were reasonable. We all liked what we had.

We initially had hesitations about the place as we weren't sure there were any restaurants good enough for executive setups this far out. When we got there, place had a healthy headcount and it's a good thing we made reservations prior.
When our food arrived, everything was good. Even our foreigner guests enjoyed their meals.
Place is very homey and has a lot of history. Would definitely come back.
Downsides: staff attention and restroom could use some improvement.

Cafeno is just a few minutes walk away from the bus station, if you travel to San Juan by bus. I love the interior, along with great food. They beautifully used the old sewing machines to make the tables look antique, they also have book corners, and from their big windows, you can see Jeepneys run outside,
Food is great, and the staff friendly.

We loved the adobo flakes, lomi, barako coffee and homemade ice cream! Prices are very reasonable and it's a better alternative to fastfood. It's a nice stopover heading up Laiya or back home to Manila.

After we had our lunch, the waiter of the restaurant recommends us to visit the cafe Cafeño, the place is airconditioned and classic. I ordered Barako condensada but I was dissapointed with the thickness of the condensed milk they poured. Gladly I managed to stir it slowly and didnt mix it all. Coffee was good and perfectly Barako (brewed). Check out the pictures we took.

Cafeno
Hello! Thank you for your encouraging comment on our barako brew. Cafeno serves only freshly roasted barako beans from Batangas and we try to be creative in the coffee preparation to enhance the barako taste.
We aplogize if the waiter’s preparation did not satisfy your expectation. We will improve on it. Please visit again.

We ate our lunch here after enjoying our overnight stay at a beach resort nearby. We enjoyed the decorations inside the restaurant and the paintings on the wall. There is this table that is really cute that is originally an old sewing machine turned into a table.
The food came out after like 10-15mins. As we were like 12 who ordered so we thought it was reasonable for them to be able to prepare it that long. Desserts came after we finish our meal and it was awesome!
It was a very hot afternoon and it was very cold inside(but tolerable and good temperature for eating) so we were able to eat well.
Highly recommend!

We found the place a little bit quaint and evoked a feeling of going back in time. It’s an artist’s place with paintings hanging on the wall and old sewing machines were turned into the centerpieces of the coffee tables.
Their kape barako kondensada just tasted right for its sweetness and coffee flavor. Their cappucino as well is full of coffee flavor.
Will recommend this place to my friends as pitstops on their South road trips.

A good place to eat when you're in San Juan. Their barako coffee was great and they have a variety of food and desserts that you can choose from. The food and the place are Instagram-worthy. We've been here twice and we were surely comeback.

Must be the 8th time i visited Cafeno in the last 12 months. Our family always order the Adobo flakes because it is so good, so flaky, crispy and tasty. Some of my family members tried the other food in the menu but they always came back to the adobo flakes. They must be happy with the other food but happier with the adobo flakes. In case the waiter forgets the vinegar, wait for this to be served before eating the flaky meat.
By the way, this food is best paired with either a kapeng barako or the tsokalate drink.
In my next visit, i will still order the crispy adobo flakes!

Twas past lunchtime when we came.
No other customers except us three were present. Here's our experience:
Food was good. A bit pricey.
Tried kimchi rice, tulingan omelette and beef tapa and white tamales.
Nothing too extraordinary but nice presentation. Good ambiance.
Service needs improvement. Staff forgets a thing or two (coffee shot included in one meal, utensils, coffee included in a set meal) but know how to apologize.
Would like to sample other desserts next visit.

On our way to Batangas for a swim when we passed by here for a coffee and snack. The place is so comfy! They have reading corner with books! I love how they designed the place with all the antique sewing machines. Their Halo-Halo is to die for! It's truly a must try. And the coffee tastes very good! I can definitely go back here in multiple times! The owners are very friendly and welcoming too! Don't forget to write on their Guest Board... it's so cool!

Caffeño is one of the best place when you are looking for best dessert in San Juan Batangas. Their "tameles" Cake with flavored of Batangas Coffee and home made ice cream is the best. I also try the Iced Latte and Adobo tortilla and i like it. I would recommend Caffeño to my friends and relatives.
