Resto is neat. Staff who took our order is accommodating. However, bulalo soup does not have the actual bulalo and served a different part. Grilled tahong's somewhat not grilled, more of steamed, not tasty and dry. Grilled liempo's fried (not grilled), meat seems frozen first...before cooked. There was a confusion too in handling the payment and change. We communicated all our concerns in the fb page personal chat, but there's no response yet. The staff told us that he will communicate all these to their admin.More

A visit to the heritage town of Taal in Batangas won't be complete without tasting some of its local dishes, and one place to do so would be Don Juan Boodle House, located just beside Taal's public market. It is famous for its boodle serving...of food, where everything is spread out on a banana leaf and everybody eats from it using bare hands . Don't miss the Taal tapa and longganisa (among many other local delicacies). The restaurant is just a stone throw's away from the town's municipal hall. It has two air-conditioned dining rooms. Service is fast and the food is yummy. Finding a parking space, however, is a bit problematic for the restaurant has limited slots. Avoid going during lunch and dinner time for the place gets jampacked.More

Our unplanned trip to Taal brought us here last May 22. We plan to order one of their famous boodle feasts with some seafoods. But the waiter suggested that we try something new on their menu, the Seafood Boil in Cajun sauce (good for 5to6pax)....It was surprising good and the serving was very generous. We almost finished the whole serving (just us 3!). The service was also exceptional. Kudos to this restaurant. Will definitely be back for more.😍😋More

The place has a great ambiance and accommodating staffs, the service is good too. The food is good especially the Pork Binagoongan and the Chicken BBQ. The Boodle part is the fun experience in eating in this restaurant. There's nothing more to say. Great Restaurant!

I visited the place for so many times but the last was on December with my friends. Nice ambience, accomodating staff and foods were great. I loved the food in banana leaf, it brings me back to my childhood because I used banana leaf as...a "baunan" in my elementary days.😁 I highly recommend your place with my peers. 👍More

Waited 1 hour for food, the servers are obviously unsupervised! They seemed to not care about us, and were very carefree. Very poor service.

Our party of 5 adults and 2 children had lunch here and we shared a Boodle meal (small portions of different food served on a banana leaf) with a couple of extra dishes. The food tasted very good and was very reasonable. The restaurant was...busy, but this did not stop the staff being pleasant, helpful and efficient. A highly recommended eatery.More

Visited this restaurant when I went to Philippines for a vacation from Dubai. I was really craving for authentic “Filipino Lutong Bahay Foods”. And we are glad that Don Juan didn’t failed our expectations. Their food was awesome. And they have a very nice ambiance....I like the way they have embodied the filipino culture when it comes to food, staff’s attire and the restaurant set up itself. Makes us all feel at home. ❤️ We also love how the staff and managers are wearing their smile all the time. Highly recommended and you should try one of their best seller “inihaw boodle”. Worth every penny! 😊More

We had our lunch here for my cousin’s birthday. It was a great experience. They offer delicious filipino dishes and wide variety to choose from. I highly recommend for those who will be visiting the town. And great service too. We will definitely come back.

We came here based on good reviews. We ordered the Taal Specialties Boodlelito which included Tapabg taal (good), Adobo sa dilaw (not good), fried tawilis (good), and served with achara, tomatoes and onions. Dessert stated sliced mangoes ( we got watermelon:( ) Don Juan looks...better in pictures but in reality, it’s a glorified carenderia. Not going back.More

Centrally located, good seating & ambiance, when it gets lunch or dinner time have to wait for 15 minutes, we thought the food was really worth the wait. We've tried 10 a la carte items not to mention the soup, non of them was good.being...first time to visit Taal Church kids were hungry like hippo craving for Sisig, Sinigang, Tapa & grilled fish etc but after seeing and tasting most of the food we left rather go for fast food. At 2pm lunch Sisig was a like salted scrap, tapa, BBQ pork/chicken just normal..even the 3 veges they offer in the menu were just cooked and poured with sauce. Not much choices for fish and veges. Service staff would prioritize clearing tables rather than seeing waving guests. Hope they will put some passion to make the food good and consistent. Surprisingly getting high score in Tripadvisor.More

I think it would be perfect if you will hold a party in Don Juan's restaurant. Especially that they have group meals. I believe they can accommodate your party, but I suggest to contact them for reservations.
