We decided to head out in memory of Dad and had lunch at Miss Mauds - one of Dad's favourite places to eat. We were told that there would be a 25 minute wait for food. The place was busy and there were a few large tables full of families. The food eventually arrived and wasn't that greatly presented like other Miss Maud cafes that I have been too. The staff weren't as friendly either. This won't stop me from going to Miss Maud, but it seems that this cafe wasn't prepared for a busy day.

Always wrong

Whenever I decide to give Miss Mauds of Whitfords another try it ends up being the same. Always getting the order wrong- wrong filling, toasted sandwich not toasted or the waiting time is ridiculous in a not so busy time of the day. Sent a sandwich back that should have been toasted, it came back with only one side toasted. Think they need a good overhaul or improve the trading of the staff

Va Va Voom Vanilla Drip Cake - takeaway

This visit I bought a Va Va Voom Vanilla Drip cake for my birthday - TAKEAWAY. I had never seen this cake before but thought because its vanilla it would suite the whole family. It was easy enough to cut at home but it didn't taste great. No one enjoyed it. The next day I took a leftover slice to work. I didn't realise but by the time i got to work the butter icing had soften and it was more enjoyable. I wish the staff had told me this when i bought it as I would of left my cake out of the fridge before serving to my family. Next birthday I think I will stick to my standard icecream cake from elsewhere.

We love Miss Maud’s as you can tell from previous posts, but today this was not the case. I usually have a smoked salmon bagel which is my favourite on the menu. Today it was hard as a rock and after making through half of the dish, I couldn’t eat any more. I told the waitress who did apologise, however I didn’t eat half of what I paid for and no remuneration was offered. Not a satisfied customer on this occasion.

Miss Mauds is a must. Excellent food; very tasty. A great atmosphere and truly a flavour of Swedish cuisine. Well worth the money as you can eat all you want during smorgasbord sessions

Had lunch with my wife and cannot complain about much at all the food was served in a timely manner , the wait person was pleasant and professional and the food was good although a bit pricey but we thoroughly enjoyed it

Very over priced food , quantity small . Never returning again

Came for our first visit today with our 12 yr old grandson . We ordered fish and chips fir my husband and farmhouse pie for grandson . Food cold and portion very small . 2 small pieces of fish and small serving chips for $18 . Farmhouse pie luke warm . Consisted of meat in ramekin with a pastry top . Very small quantity for $18 also . Had to take grandson off and get him some rice paper rolls to fill him up . Last time we will be visiting Miss Maud's had to wait half an hour for food unacceptable considering what we got .

Good coffee, lousy price structure

Had breakfast in the cafe and opted for our coffee to be in takeaway cups rather than usual porcelain cups/mugs. Wow! they charge an extra 80cents for the benefit of the paper cup, which incidentally also benefits them as there is less washing to do. I could probably buy a dozen paper cups for that price at Officeworks. And when it applied to both my partner's and mine, that was a whopping $1.60 for the pleasure??!!?? Won't be back for another round.

Overpriced, bad service, average food

We sat down to order lunch fort two. Coffee came out lukewarm (very good coffee though, only reason they didn't earn a 'terrible' rating), and our milkshake came ten minutes later after our food. The food was extremely overpriced for what it is. It's clear they don't have a deep fryer because they do not offer chips as a side, the schnitzel sandwich we ordered was soggy, and the clearly straight from the packet frozen wedges were undercooked and roasted. Why even offer wedges on the menu if you don't intend to serve them properly? Every other cafe in whitfords will give you a better and cheaper experience than miss Maud's whitfords. My advice is to stay away.

Had lunch at the new Miss Maud's in Whitfords Shopping centre the food was very good and up to expectations the serves were adequate and tasty and the service was friendly and professional an enjoyable outing
