Right from the start everyone was super kind and ready to give us the best possible experience. Even though there was a bit of rain before, they set up the table outside in record time and adapted the menu to our requests, including chestnuts from...a different dish and cooking something extra for our Vegetarian son. The lamb was absolutely exquisite. Definitely repeat!More

Far from everything, this restaurant is beautiful and service is great. Parking is small, so you may have to go a little far to find a spot. The only reason we did not give a 5*, is because the the pork shoulder was a little...too dry. Everything else was perfect.More

I start my review with a single negative note. I was shocked at the rude and uncouth way a male employee addressed me. I hope not to feel it again. I felt the discrimination against the fact that we are the only ones with working...clothes. Passing over this it is pleasant surprise. The restaurant offers dishes of the day, affordable, but with high quality. The place is very nice, with their own small car park. The food is well prepared and well presented. Efficient and friendly service, The place is clean, extremely tasteful, and I would risk saying very beautiful. Of course all of this made lunch very enjoyable and memorable. To repeat… (of course without the initial part). Passando isto a surpresa é agradável. O restaurante apresenta prato do dia a preços módicos mas de elevada qualidade. O local é agradável, com parque de estacionamento pequeno mas próprio. A comida é bem confeccionada e bem apresentada. Serviço eficiente e simpático. O lugar é asseado, de extremo bom gosto, e diria mesmo muito bonito. Claro está que tudo isto tornou o almoço muito agradável e memorável. A repetir… (claro está sem parte inicial)More

The food was really good and the staff was really friendly. The only downfall was their lack of basic English, a lot of miscommunication... And my beef& mushroom dish was cold. Also both the starters and main courses were thrown out onto the table at...the same time. Otherwise everything else was excellent. Would recommend if you speak Portuguese.More

Whilst there was nothing in there menu that was stated to vegetarian, we rang to enquirer prior to our booking if it would be possible to prepare 3 meals for the vegetarians that were in our party of 7. The staff were very accommodating to...cook off menu dishes. The service went above and beyond, they were very helpful and good spirited and we all had a laugh trying to traverse the language barrier with our complicated orders. The food was Delicious and very generously proportioned, and very reasonably priced. After the starters and table bread, i was pretty full so I thought I'd order the small Portuguese steak of the main menu and expecting a small steak was surprised when it was at least a 10oz cut. I devoured it all though as it was quite possibly the best steak i have ever eaten.More

We had to wait to be seated even though we had booked beforehand, but we waited in a shady court yard and we didn't have to wait for long. The restaurant was packed out if you decide to eat here I would advise booking ahead....I had the lamb it was very good. My son in law had chicken gizzards they were delicious. The service was quick and efficient. A good choice, I would definitely eat here again.More

We visited Restaurante Rocha at the advice of a friend and reading the reviews, and then went again later in the week. It is quite large and spacious (is stretches far beyond the entrance room with the counter). There is a decent car park at...the side of the building. The food consist of a variety of regional and national Portuguese dishes. We tried the baked cod, the pork cheek, roast pork, and beef. All were well-cooked and tasty, as were the cold starters. There is a short but value for money wine list, mostly with local wines Regarding the service, although we arrived very early, spoke virtually no Portuguese and had two small children in tow, we were given a wonderful welcome, with no effort spared to make our meals as pleasant as possible. Value for money is outstanding by English standards. For dinner for 2 plus 2 children, with adults getting three courses plus wine we spent around EUR40.More
