Must do in Montreal. The service is quick and friendly. Fries were crispy and hot dogs were great! We got the poutine and hot dogs meal. It's nothing that's going to be super fancy but it gets the job done. Quick and delicious meal.

For over 100 years people (mostly locals) have been coming here for; 2 steamies - all dressed - fries (or poutine) and a Pepsi. When you come to Montreal, you should too. For under $10.00, you'll get more food than you can eat and partake...More

Every trip to Montreal includes at least one stop at the Montreal Pool Room. While the 2 men working the restaurant never seem to be happy, the food is consistently good. The steamie (steamed wiener and bun) is really good when served all dressed. The...More

I was told this was the place for old school basic poutine. While I have nothing to compare it to, I thought it was pretty damn good. I will certainly try other versions.

We wanted to try poutine for the first time and found this place on TripAdvisor. Having never had poutine before I can't compare it to anything else but it was tasty. Very hot with gravy and cheese curds. The hot dog, however, was pretty awful....More

Locals know of this place as a staple for hot dogs and fries. Food is prepared to order by somewhat grumpy older staff. The food itself is good for what it is although some of the fries were a bit undercooked.

visited Montreal Pool Room during my stay in Montreal and tried their famous steamies and poutine. Really liked the all dressed steamie with steamed bun. It was very simple but delicious. Poutine was pretty good too with generous amount of gravy and curd cheese. Would...More

The poutine was amazing!! The prices were even better. Great find in Montreal. Kind of out of the way, but worth the walk.
