Lunch time, decided to try Mr. Sub in the food court at the Rainbow Mall….I guess this week's no lunch and always in a hurry is helping the mall.....…skip to the chase…yes I enjoyed it ……first thing that caught my eye was the sandwich artistry.........the bun was being cut completely through….might be hard to keep everything in between the two pieces of bread….next the slices of cheese cut on the length….not sure of other locations but this one has an oven and bakes their bread on site, had not noticed that at other locations I had visited ......a trademark at a competitor……decided on my usual 12 inch, cold cut, which ended up being one layer of 3 meats, on mozza and cheddar bun…..had my usual white cheese with extra cheese and all the fixings…pretty similar to the top chain…….with the sub sauce……when I unwrapped the sandwich and as expected, everything fell over…..first bite, got the sauce layer….the saltiness of all ingredients finished with the vinegary after taste……ingredients are all fresh…overall not bad….but not sure the extra cost compared to the competitor is worth it…expected more meat as the reason for higher cost….also, the extra cheese end up being the same amount of usual cheese at the competitors, but still under 10.00 bucks to have lunch and was filling……….service wise….while I was there not a production line but each server takes from start to finish…………not sure how that would work in a rush since there were only 2 people ahead of me and found myself looking around at other options……finished my sub and am satisfied…..have to admit, the franchise has evolved with the competition....More
